May 18, 2008 - i believe he is a good man. he is being used to help people. BUT, as a preacher of God's Word, he is supposed to tell about the gospel and not little nit-picks from it. People need to hear the fire and brimstone, be told about the book of Revelation. They need to be taught the teachings of Jesus, not just how God will bless you in finances, health,etc. If one is not given these things, they may rebuke God for not giving them that. He needs to be very careful with this. Preach scripture we use it

May 24, 2008 - The point is that we have far worse enemies to Christianity than Joel Osteen! Watch all the youtube videos about Oprah's New Age religion and how she reaches 2 MILLION viewers a day, drawing them nowhere near Christ. Joel doesn't reach two million a day bringing people to Christ, but at least he isn't drawing them away from the Son of God either.

Free of most religious dogmatic nonsense, it retains a certain element of religiousness to justify his messages of self help.Is it a money making machine? Surely the money is important, but so it is in any religious business. After all, Coca Cola makes tons of money selling harmful colored water.

Jun 25, 2008 - I do know this...the first time I heard joel, his words lifted me spiritualy, inspired me, I wanted to do better in all areas in life...no money involved. say what you want but it really does not change the fact that his words through gospel makes perfect sense to me and thats all that matters. those who are skeptical, thats your choice...its called free will. joel olsteen is awesome! jesus is love!

We cant deny his preaching did turn a lot of non-christians to know God. after that, the most important is develop our own relationship with God and to know God personally. Not to count on any pastors. In my opinion he is a good guy and just trying to help and inspired people. We shouldnt be so hard on him

Jul 10, 2008 - I've been there he is a good person...He is a positive person and motivates you to be more positive .. It has worked for me . Religion is a touchy subject and he has stated his eduction is not in the seminary field. It is refreshing to see a preacher that motivates and doesn't focus on how we sin and are going to hell. He doesn't focus on politics or judging people. He just a good person plain and simple.
