Mar 31, 2008 - I have a teenage daughter and though she and I have great communication I didn't find out she'd lost her virginity until a year later. It hurt me because she'll never understand until she's older how giving it away to someone unworthy just wasn't worth it. I didn't give mine away. It was stolen so I didn't have the opportunity to treasure it like she could have. Thank you for this video and I hope some of these young kids watch it and understand.
barstowmama Says:
Mar 31, 2008 - That's what I meant by saying that some women don't have a choice to whom they lose their virginity to. Mine was stolen also...at the age of 7 years old. I just want these young girls to understand just what their virginity is worth. I want them to know their own worth, and alas they don't seem to care.

Apr 6, 2008 - Ms bartsomama did you marry as a virgin?
hashitashi Says:
Apr 6, 2008 - I am so glad that you posted these videos. I'm 22 y/o and I've never had sex for religious as well as other reasons. Shoot I've never been on a date before (shhhh, don't tell anybody ^_^). Anyhow, I was browsing on Yahoo Answers and the mentality of people about premarital sex was so depressing that I just felt lost. This video really uplifted me. So intelligent, I'm subbing.
barstowmama Says:
Apr 7, 2008 - As a born again virgin. My first marriage I married as a sort of virgin. It was the first time that I voluntarily had sex. So I would say yes.

May 2, 2008 - Speak it Barstowmama! What you've said are what both my mom and grandma have told me. I'm glad to say that I don't engage in any kind of sexual acts, and more reasons behind what you've presented. I'm 19, a college student, and I want to continue my desires in that area before anything else. Sex isn't everything and not what it's made out to be, and so many confuse what's love and what's lust. And call what is unholy, something holy. Very refreshing vlog!

Jul 2, 2008 - I agree with you...i hate I lost my virginity before I got married, but sadly, I never was taught about sex. My mom wouldn't talk to me, instead when I would ask, she would accuse me of already doing it. When I did get married it became a whole new thing to me, and it's much better when it's with someone you love and they love you the same.

Sep 4, 2008 - I'm 30 years old and proud to say that I'm a virgin, but it's been so flippin' hard because guys in the past have passed me over for promiscuous girls and I had to deal with that. I took it so hard. It's like the guys are saying to me when they pass me over, "you're not good enough for me b/c you're a virgin." I am a college graduate, I'm back in school to become a Spanish teacher, I have a good part-time job, I have a lot of respect for myself.
mercyhurstchic Says:
Sep 4, 2008 - I used to be jealous of my one friend recently because a lot of men would go for her and she's very promiscuous and we're both Christians. I was very unfortunate in love because of the fact that I wouldn't have sex. I'm saving myself for marriage because I want to be obedient to God and what His word says. I desire to please Him and to give that gift to my future husband.
Roobin08 Says:
Sep 4, 2008 - i absolutely agree with you, cuz at the end of the day ppl put so much pressure on young teens to the point where they belive it is a must to have sex not 4 their own benefit but to prove a point! and then at that point there is no going back these kids need to kno that being a virgin is ok, because if ur surounded by somone who is judging u because u aren't doin wat they are, then they should be around better ppl who support them when their living right and doing right.
ChriannaFan Says:
Nov 29, 2008 - Thanks for posting this. I'm a young lady (21) and I'm a virgin... Best feeling in the world. YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT STI OR STDs OR RESPONDING TO A MAN ABOUT WHO you'VE BEEN WITH. SO LADIES, TRUST ME, what she's saying is very true. Hope this serves as your motivation :)
stealingbeauty Says:
Dec 28, 2008 - people act like if u lose your virginity that it's like dying. everyone is different, there are people that can seperate sex from emotions and other that can. Religion can't always be the only thing to push abstinence. I believe it all comes down to respect. If you respect yourself and think things through before acting, then you're on the right path. No one should tell you what to do with your intimate life, as long as you are not a rapist or pedophile or inflicting pain on yourself and others.

Mar 31, 2008 - pt3i understand it's a touchy subject. i don't look for the comments, but i know some things i talk about can either be over the edge or hit home. i need to talk about this more...try to bring some awareness to it.
