Aug 19, 2008 - Does anyone know the name of this song?It doesn't appear to be on the Buena Vista Social Club CD called " Chanchillo "which is supposed to be from the songs from the DVD by Ruben Gonzales - but it isn't !They also miss out the song "Chan Chan" on the 2 CD's I have.The other CD I have is " Ibrahim Ferrer "I find this annoying because the CDs I have miss out some of the best songs.Why did Ry Cooder do this?

Sep 19, 2008 - There is nothing wrong with Ry's guitar, it indeed gives it a great touch and a wider emotional dimension. Accompaniments like that are usually done with the bass or violins, but they are done for sure. The fact that he uses an electric guitar is irrelevant, if not even better.
