Aug 5, 2008 - The rope (which looks pretty thin) is just a backup in case he gets sketched out or somethings not right and he needs to rappel off. This guys a seasoned ice climber and knows the risks better than anyone. It still takes a different breed to free solo. Rock or Ice.
