TheSharpenedPen Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - Bukovsky: "I am referring to structures, to certain ideologies being instilled, to the plans, the direction, the inevitable expansion, the obliteration of nations, which was the purpose of the Soviet Union. Most people do not understand this. They do not know it, but we do because we were raised in the Soviet Union where we had to study the Soviet ideology in school & at univ. The ultimate purpose of the Soviet Union was to create a new historic entity, the Soviet people, all around the globe."

Oct 8, 2008 - Maguirdi... "Fascism isn't corporate government"... okay now I KNOW you don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about!Talk to TheSharpenedPen coz I've had enough of talking to you... you don't even bother to look words up in a dictionary to find their true meaning!Grow a brain then try again!

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - You looked up fascism in a dictionary and saw corporate government. You went on to talk about America and how business corporations and money control their country. I said Hitler told corporations what to do - he did. Any jackass knows George W is being told what to do. That doesn't make America a fascist state though (The Senate). If you're going to throw around wild accusations of fascism, in particular nazi fascism, please be accurate.

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Maybe if McCain gets elected it'll go further down the fascist road, very different to Hitler, but fascist nonetheless. As Sinclair Lewis said "When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross"

ejbh3160 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - I mentioned nazi fascism once saying "Hitler would be proud of" the superstate of Europe because he didn't acheive so much with blitzkreig & war! You were 'shocked' by that statement for some reason you STILL haven't explained??I also mentioned that the US elections are funded mainly by corporations & the candidates are puppets of those corporations. I stand by that! Same in Europe! That is fascism! Whether YOU understand it or not!Oh & any jackass knows GeorgeW's grandaddy financed Hitler!

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - By referring to Hitler and saying he would be proud of it you're inferring that the EU is closely related to NAZI ideals.America is messed up and I definitely wouldn't call it democratic. I wouldn't go as far as to call it fascist though. The EU isn't in the same league as far as lobbying and puppeteerig goes, but, same as everywhere money and power go hand in hand. The EU is probably the most democratic block in the world. Australia is pretty good too...

ejbh3160 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - you only need to look at all the 'new' laws introduced by Bush that circumvent hundreds of years of hard won rights & the Constitution (after all its only a bit of paper eh)! Habeus Corpus. Torture. pre-emptive wars etcIn fact the Neuremburg trials put the ULTIMATE crime of the nazis as "Waging pre-emptive war"! Just look at Iraq Afghanistan etc & you will see pre-emptive war is now POLICY!AND they'd 'create' a few more wars if they could... Russia, Georgia, Iran, Venezuela take your pick!

ejbh3160 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - NO you are doing what so many people do... assuming Fascism is Nazi-ism!!That is NOT what I was saying and you jumped to conclusions without even trying to understand! Fascism is the Big business interests outweighing PEOPLE'S interests (and thereby their rights and freedoms go too)!

ejbh3160 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - In Europe we have just as much influence from big business interests as anywhere. Just look at the farming lobby for starters! Protectionist in the extreme & costing fortunes to 'prop up' big chemical mono-culture agro-business farms that produce mountains of things that get thrown away for lack of 'markets' while people starve on this planet?!If EU farming had to survive without the subsidies they would farm organically & farms would be smaller and LABOUR intensive. What an awful thought eh?

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Fascism is unelected people having control. Businesses don't have control. They have a large say - capitalism. Farmers have a lot of representation all through politics. They have very good unions and they are well co-ordinated. Therefore politicians need to keep them happy. That's why they get a disproportionate amount of grants. A failing democracy? Maybe. But what do you do? Give politicians who are elected by farming communities less of a say?! More people need to vote-that's the problem

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - We agree on this one. George Bush and all his friends should be tried as war criminals. McCain, if elected, will start more wars. Iran are next on the list and that'll just provoke the Russians even further. Palin has already said inadvertently in interviews that the Americans are spying on Russia and she also said she would attack Russia if they invaded Russia. Obama named Iran as an enemy last night which was a bit worrying

maguirdi Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - *Georgia

ejbh3160 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Amen to that about more people needing to get off their behinds and go & VOTE!And I come from a farming community and I was born on a farm.. so I sort of understand the farming mind set.IMO its the big agro-business type farms that are responsible for the greed & disproportionate grants they get.Theres no need for 'set-aside' nor chemicals if we just stick to organic farming methods.. because small family owned organic farms produce MORE per acre than mono-culture agri-business farms!

NO!!! I am ashamed that my governement is part of the anti-democratic elite in Brussels. Nothing will change if the people keep putting up with this, the people should speek up!!!

Nov 18, 2008 - Here's an American, calling in. We've got a lot of pressure coming from the EU too, except it takes the form of the United Nations. We've got a superhighway (Trans-Texas Corridor) being forced through our land, we've got international troops marching around our cities (training in anti-civilian tactics), and we've got political elitists in our government. We're not happy. And soon, they may try to take away our guns (again). That will be a BIG mistake.
