Nov 26, 2008 - I dont know what to tell you, I have been trained useing hyperflexation, my trainer taught me. If there isnt anybody you trust to teach you properly, then I wouldnt do it. You cant learn it from a book.

Nov 28, 2008 - that was beautuiful, she seemed to be totally enjoying herself too. The only thing I don't like is how he gets these results, english riding is all about domination, pushing, pulling and restraining until it looks like what you want. I prefer finesse as opposed to old english dressage, it's more kind to the horse and you get the same results, with the added bonus that you know they're doing what you ask because they want to, not because you've got so many gadgets they have no other choice.

It takes many years for a horse to reach Grand Prix level and this mare has had patient and careful handling with no gadgets or gimmicks. This test is the ultimate in finesse and harmony between horse and rider. The fact that she is relaxed and enjoying herself should tell you she performs because she is asked, not forced. If she was trained as you say, she wouldn't be at the top of the sport.

You will find a multitude of unhappy horses (and happy ones)and hopefully you will see the the difference before making unwarranted assumptions about what you think you are seeing.

Nov 29, 2008 - I've watched dressage for a number of years, and this is quite possibly the best performance I've ever seen. Pegasus is right - this mare has been treated with gentle guidance, love and respect. It's obvious to anybody that she performs because she loves it. The spirit and grace exuding from Matinee brings tears to my eyes every time I see her.

Dec 2, 2008 - i hate anky. She is a good rider, but she is so violent. Did you know that when she was training Salinero to do piaffe she tied his hind feet together so that he wouldn't move? Yeah, i think its cruel. She uses whips alot, and now, in competitions, she can screw up and they will still giver her points because A) Shes still a good rider and B) because all the judges already know her and she is automatically in the finals which is unfair to other riders who had a chance with her. I thnk its unfair
