Sep 5, 2008 - So what?! Geddy Lee's technique is "SHIIIT" and he's regarded as one of the best bass players, and one of my favorites. Both Billy and Geddy's techniques are just unique to them.

Sep 30, 2008 - His technique works for the hard rock he plays. Would it work for Jazz and Blues? Not very well but he doesn't play Jazz and Blues. He does have a Fusion group called Niacin but quite frankly, compared to many other Fusion Bassists (Wooten, Jaco, Marcus Miller, Gary Willis, etc) he isn't that good but as a Rock bassist he's excellent and has a style all his own.
