Nov 19, 2008 - Someone know what tuning he plays in here? Open D?Rory was a great guitarist, and have inspired my guitar playing alot.

Th3Turtl3 Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - Damn this song is great, i'd love to have a tab for this.

jkomen Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Yes it is open D. He is retuning in the beginning totally by ear so I think he is a hair sharp. Don't get me wrong the guitar is in tune, but perhaps a fraction sharp of a true D. So if you use a tuner, which I have to do, your guitar may sound just a slight, and I mean slight, bit flat. It may even be caused by a slight difference in video tape recording and or playing speed. RIP RORY THE BEST.

curlyhead992 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - i think slide blues sounds slightly out of tune anyway, probably due to how hard he presses down with the slide, but thats what makes it so appealing, so you're probably right, but the cool thing is it dosen't actually matter, sounds great :)

jkomen Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Your right, it doesn't matter, it's perfect.

Nov 26, 2008 - I'm not from Ireland , yet I'll say this : it's enough for the Irish to hold a head high because of Rory and Philo (regardless of him being born in England) , hence LONG LIVE IRELAND (their Rock , their accents and their manhood) ...

NiGhtMarEs0nWax Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - ireland is a conveyor belt for good musicians, wish i could say teh same for scotland ^^
