Sep 23, 2008 - dude chris sharma is so much better than that dan osman was...people just think becuase dan climbed solos he is the best but chris is way better

treesareourfriends01 Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - i disagree. dan was bomb and it showed. sure this guy may be able to climb a V-15 but does he have the endurance to solo 400 ft? or climb 5.14 style clibms with ease? i dont think so.

DERT57 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - chris sharma on sights 5.14.

treesareourfriends01 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - look, they're both excellent climbers and i would be so lucky to even have a tenth of their talent, i just looked up to dan thats all, so stop ragging on my personal opinion.

remo1x Says:

Oct 22, 2008 - do you even have any idea what a V15 looks like, so many ppl would walk by that boulder and not even be able to imagine climbing it, but sharma makes it look easy...and hell yeah he has endurance to climb crazy ass rocks, just go out and buy the kinglines video, you'll see

mrmoco666 Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - listen for all of u chris sharma supporters i agree with u hes amazing. but dan osman took it to a new level, and he suggested things that had never been done before. not only did dan osman hav unriveled skill, but he had the personality of a lil kid and he took on challenges with a can do attitude and no rope. nowadays thats easy, everyones doing it. skill is debatable, but dan osman always was a better climber when it came down to the bare basics

mrmoco666 Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - and plus u guys r forgetting the MAIN challenge of climbing outside which is exposure. If your hundreds of feet above ground with a rope i guarantee u its easier than without one. again, who was a better climber iin terms of skill is debatable, but aside from that dan takes the cake

J0HNH0P Says:

Oct 31, 2008 - you can get just as much exposure on a boulder as you can 400ft up. there are some problems in excess of 25 foot. 25 foot with no safety gear only a 3 inch matt is that not enough exposure?

legendtwig Says:

Nov 1, 2008 - dan osman is incomparable to sharma as they specialised in different things.sharma is a better climber technically; he cn crnk harder moves than osman could.however, it may be argued that osman was better, as he obviously had balls the size of melons to be able to solo all of the crazy stuff he did.it is non-argument who is better, they are/were each brilliant and at the absolute top of what they do/did.

houze4ursoul Says:

Nov 6, 2008 - Are you serious?? DOes he have hte endurance to climb 5.14? Is that a joke? Surely youre not serious? Sharma is the king of CLIMBING PERIOD. He takes climbing into levels and places no ones seen. This guy hikes 5.14.

houze4ursoul Says:

Nov 6, 2008 - THe main challenge of climbing for me is pulling as hard as you possibly can. Impoossible with 50 lbs of gear hanging from your harness and then once youre done climbing, you have to haul all your gear up!!! How can you possibly pull to your limit after that.

wyliesong Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - two words... Jumbo Love

DasMatt Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - Sharma climbed Necessary Evil (damn hard 14d) when he was still in his teens. Enough said.

boxsterwelby Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - With all the chalk marks how many people climbed this before sharma? He is the best....but clearly other people put chalk marks up before him. Who? Who climbed this v14 before sharma?

boxsterwelby Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - Dan is great, but to argue who is a better climber is ludicrous. Sharma out climbs everyone. Dan brought some great things to the table but as for who is the better climber...........Sharma is hands down the best climber of today and yesterday.

boxsterwelby Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - The bare basics that had sharma invent a v17 climb? Sharma invented top level climbing. He is the best hands down. Dan is great but sharma invented climbs past what Dan could ever have imagined.

knottyboy2007 Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - basically, your argument is totally forgetting fred nicole. the guy put up V14's and 15's years before anyone could even imagine doing them. think about it. dreamtime, terremer, terre de sienne, circadian rhythm, etc... and now, the next generation of climbers is jsut beginning to tap into those realms.

mrmoco666 Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - alright u do have a pointbut i think ur underestimating dani hav to admit tho im only rly partial towards dan because he was my childhood hero

mrmoco666 Says:

Nov 13, 2008 - legendtwig got it rite

Sharma17 Says:

Nov 15, 2008 - You're both right. True your point may be about Fred Nicloe Knottyboy2007, don't forget that climbing is being re-invented every day.Nobody invented climbing, or defined it. It is merely climbing that defines the individual.

gerardo231 Says:

Nov 17, 2008 - 14c not 14d

CDPuffer Says:

Nov 25, 2008 - i love sharma also yes.., but whats with everyone saying he is the best in the world bar none? you notice how he came 10th in the bouldering world cup not making finals? im not trying to diss him but lets all give props to all the other great climbers on this hard difficulty of climbing because i can gaurentee you sharma is not the only one who climbs impossibly hard stuff... when most people act like he is.

jrpimpdog Says:

Nov 29, 2008 - dreamtime has been downgraded to v14

enfingret Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - i totally agree.

campusmang Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - Daniel Woods is stronger
