Jun 11, 2008 - paul washer is saying that a simple prayer does not save you, its the saving faith of Jesus Christ and being regenerate. sanctification is a continual process. you cant continue living the same life you once lived if you're saved, because your previous life is identified with sin. if you've repented of your sin, the evidence will be continual growth and repentance and less of you and more of Christ in your life. works don't save you but its those works that show that you're actually saved.

Jun 23, 2008 - Washer isn't saying we're saved by works. He's saying that IF we're saved, works--fruit, will appear in our lives as a result of God having the room to work through us. He's totally right about churches today--it's all a dog and pony show in most cases. Competing for members is more important than saving souls. Clergy today prefers quanity to quality. He's talking about idolatry in the church. He's here for a reason. Listen to him.

Jun 26, 2008 - I agree exactly, fruitofspirit. Washer is so far from works-based salvation -- He's talking about sanctification. It's odd to me that people can hear this and yet confuse those two things.I think people must listen to sermons with ear-filters, hearing what they think they hear instead of what the pastor's saying. I reckon many church-going "Christians" are used to doing this. :(

Jul 2, 2008 - I can never identify if I'm saved or not but I am assure of this, I do not know why but I was revealed through scripture to warn the churches of America if they do not change they will be fed through the fire that is to come. Sometime I think Washer is trying to clean the fish before he catches them... Even though he speaks truth, he only speaks a partial truth.
