Nov 30, 2008 - So, as I have asked before, I'll ask again if you have bothered to consider the worth of your efforts with respect to what they might yield in general and in your own life.

CAFoster58 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - Consider another factor: Meaning no disrespect to Condell, his punditry, or his efforts, he is still largely unknown outside of Internet circles. When it comes to being a force for Christian good in the world, wouldn't efforts to feed the hungry, dress the poor, volunteer in poverty-stricken areas, work in a charity hospital...wouldn't those be far more "Christ-like" than wasting so much time reposting arguments in YouTube comment sections - arguments no one but you considers valid?

CAFoster58 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - Against all of the things going on in the world that you might work for, and, again, meaning no disrespect to Condell, just who is Condell?

Sarutahiko1 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - debunking religion, properly understood, is a powerful force for good.religion causes evils like war, stripping people of their rights, bombings, etc. etc. so convincing people not to believe in religion can be considered good. many people other than just him consider them to be valid. this should be evident from the 5 red stars right below the video.

Nov 30, 2008 - no schools teach atheism as a belief system? I understand you've never finished school or something (dont attack me fanboys he said this himself) but most schools in europe do...

Dec 1, 2008 - i am not gay but i do love this guy if he ever needs help from me then just ask man

mcmaurice92 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - @ manhattanwombat:You are just not understanding it. Schools don't teach atheism, they teach SCIENCE and therefore REALITY. What did he say? Atheism = reality! You have to learn that NOT mentioning religion is NOT EQUAL to teaching atheism. It's rather teaching reality (the GIVEN/EXISTING THINGS) without the additional fictional creation/bible stuff.

GratefulChristian Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - As for you, WHO CARES, if that's how you want to be..but to let your children not believe in the TRUTH is Child Abuse..I pray to GOD they make it to heavern in spite of having a parent such as yourself~

manhattanwombat Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I mean that governments force schools to teach kids a secular morality here, as opposed to the US where if you go to catholic school for example you will learn christan morals and maybe even creationism. I went to catholic school and in our 'religious' class we learned about sex, accepting homosexuals, and more... in fact Im attending a secular university now and more religious morality is taught here than in my catholic school...

deadlyvirtues Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - In GOD we trust!Another atheist bites the dust!

stalwartatheist Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "..I pray to GOD they make it to heavern..."If you're going to be praying for people to go to heaven, you might want to make sure you can spell it first.

stalwartatheist Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "but to let your children not believe in the TRUTH is Child Abuse"Bullshit. What does qualify as child abuse is indoctrinating a child from an early age. What staggering arrogance you display in your bold assertion that religion is true! My children are being brought up to discover the world for themselves. They are given unbiased information, and are free to believe in what they want to. If they choose to believe in a god, which I personally think is tantamount to mental illness, so be it.

furybones Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Ther is no such thing as an athiest after they take their last breath!

tyhillman21 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Ok, I am a Christian for starters. I don't understand why it is necessary to condemn people for their religion. I believe that we could argue this until the day we die, and then we will know surely who was right. I think it can be a good discussion but I would just like people to stop condemning others basesd on their religious beliefs.

vhernandez48 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "Ther is no such thing as an athiest after they take their last breath!"There is no such thing as a Christian after they take their last breath! There is no such thing as a Muslim after they take their last breath! There is no such thing as a Hindu after they take their last breath! There is no such thing as a Jew after they take their last breath! There is no such thing as a HUMAN BEING after they take their last breath!

SexyMelon Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "Ok, I am a Christian for starters. I don't understand why it is necessary to condemn people for their religion."It's not, in fact, that would be rather inadequate.Statistically, however, it is justified.

slytomcat999 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Vhernandez...The theory of Evolution...the theory of Evolution...Nothing but the theory of Evolution...finally someone who understands...Darwin, Dawkins, and Pat Condell...the holy Trinity...you are a breath of fresh air my friend...

castravalva Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - To an Atheist who believes in a universe without God, what point is there in attacking religion? If natural selection didn't want them to be antagonized by religion, it wouldn't have made religion up for them to deal with. So, ultimately, it is evolution that they are attacking, if you sit back and think their world view through.

dotsona07 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "The truth" how are you so sure your right over the countless number of other religions in the past? You just say I'm right the other religions have it wrong, or make up some bullshit story to satisfy your religious feelings. I swear you people amaze me. My children don't need to be "saved" because there is nothing to be saved from. I live a good life and I am a good person, and I don't need Christianity to save me, if anything I agree with Buddhism, that's as far as I go.

inverse4 Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - I think your idea is interesting-that it is actually just the physical mechanics of natural selection and evolution that are driving this cosmic joke. That is clearly true if the evolutionary theory of origins is correct.Remember though that natural selection has selected both the theist and atheist so it 'wants' or rather has it such that the two opposing views are at loggerheads unintentionally from the genes perspective as far as we know;'cos the genes have no consciousness.Peace.

inverse4 Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - I'm sure God,in his infinite wisdom can decipher the message and after all it's the thought that counts, lol.

castravalva Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - Once that is realized, the next step is to recognize that morality in such a predestined system is quite pointless. Nature doesn't care if I obey my parents or slit their throats (being non-concious). And if there really is no cosmic score keeper, who cares if I slit their throat, your throat, slaughter the whole village, or otherwise. The need to believe that we should preserve a species as an excuse for morality is simply that an emotional preprogrammed excuse and nothing more.

tyhillman21 Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - How is it justified to condemn anyone for anything? Was America not created on the basis that everyone has the freedom of religion? I'm not sure you understand what I am getting at. I don't think you should condemn Christians, Jews, Muslims, or any other religion.

tyhillman21 Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - That's part of the Christian religion is faith. I understand why faith is so important and I can only say that Christianity has bettered my life. I'm not saying that you can't leave a good life if you aren't Christian but for me it has definately made my life much more enjoyable.
