karenhz Says:
Apr 11, 2008 - After seeing all this, you still think there is not riligious freedom in Tibet? You better check the history of Tibet, it was a serfdom society and the last serfdom region in the world. salves composed more than 95% of the population and they seriously were brutlly treated. So you still think that is "the human rights" that Dalai Lama was trying to "protect"

Apr 15, 2008 - i wonder how can there be so many monks throughout Tibet if the Chinese government is really oppressing the buddhists...haha~i have also no idea where did they get all the money to repair and remain those magnificent temples if the Chinese government keeps taking away money from Tibetans~~~hahaha~~~

Apr 17, 2008 - i am sorry not to have see the french people giving their opining here
jmzhou13 Says:
Apr 21, 2008 - According to National Geographic April 2002 issue: the Dalai Lama said he disagrees with those who argue that the smaller number of monks today prevents them from strengthening religion. "I always emphasize quality over quantity. Numbers are not so important." He readily acknowledged that during his time in Tibet "too many people became monks just to earn a living."So it is really funny when people think less monks today in Tibet is a bad thing.

Apr 21, 2008 - The tibet issue in Chinese eyes is not like American thinking of 'rescuing' Iraq from devil~~
boovoerx Says:
Apr 21, 2008 - You know, Dalai used to be the vice president of the National Peopoe's Congress in the communist party~But when the China Government decided to overwhelm the slavery in Tibet, he fled~Overwhelming a region understand slavery on its territory seems perfectly justifiable for the China government.
boovoerx Says:
Apr 21, 2008 - If you think that Tibet was not a part of China before 1959, I wanna ask you what was the point of Dalai becoming an officer in Communist party? And I wanna ask you, do you think any government in the world would allow one quarter of its territory under slavery.
kangrimpoche Says:
Apr 29, 2008 - Ignorant American tourists by their own admission who didn't know a thing about Tibet and still don't. Do you think going for a few days and shooting a video gives you the right to make a judgement on the terrible tragedy unfolding there? Please don't denigrate something so important as people being brutalized and being sterilized. Next time go to the Tibetan settlements in India and talk with real people before jumping to dangerously wrong conclusions based on what you were "supposed" to see.
imrighty Says:
