Oct 24, 2008 - charlie parker looks well over fifty in this one...man what a shame...
MasstahYodah Says:
Oct 24, 2008 - long live the bird!
polymath7 Says:
Oct 25, 2008 - I could not agree with you more, phizzstar. I am by no means a musical expert, but it seems to me in human history there have been two astonishing and almost inexplicable explosions of musical genius confined within a relatively narrow time and place. One in eighteenth and early nineteenth century German-speaking Europe, and the other in twentieth century USA. And hell yes, smooth jazz is a half-notch above elevator music.

Oct 25, 2008 - "Charlie Parker looks well over fifty..." To me that's a little unnerving, since he died when he was just a couple years older than I am. Mozart was sickly for most of his life, and I would bet did not look particularly juvenescent upon his death either.
MasstahYodah Says:
Oct 25, 2008 - sorry i had no intention to offend anyone. I was just trying to make a point about his drug abuse...and how it deprived him of his own juvenescence. He only was about what, 35? when he died. Which is still particularly young
polymath7 Says:
Oct 25, 2008 - Oh no, I wasn't offended at all. I was agreeing with you. When I said your comment was a little unnerving, I only meant that the fact someone so close to my own age could look "well over fifty makes me feel old by extension; it being home the fact that at thirty-two, I can no longer be considered a youth. Christ, it feel like just yesterday I was nineteen.

Oct 25, 2008 - youtube, why are you still not allowing my messages to go through this is starting to anger me now. if you want people to have access to this thing how about allowing us to enjoy without interference
phizzstar Says:
Oct 25, 2008 - am I the only one who's having this problem posting and then it appears somehow on this post? I'm not understanding this at all.
DTate16 Says:
Oct 26, 2008 - I here that!
DTate16 Says:
Oct 26, 2008 - i still agree with phizzstar tho. music like this makes me wish i was born 50 years before just to hear it live. and im 18 now.
polymath7 Says:
Oct 26, 2008 - You are not the only one, phizzstar. I have had the same problem and it is indeed exasperating.

Nov 11, 2008 - So? We will all be dead. Then either way he would be dead, but if he were dead for longer, he would have lived to hear this great music live. We will all die, how neat.

Spenny909 Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - Have you not heard of zig n zag of the 90's?

DTate16 Says:
