HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 11, 2008 - Transformers was a good movie. So its not going to be realsed on bluray?I think transformers was one on the fiew movies on hddvd. =]]

mji245 Says:

Jan 11, 2008 - well the director sayed one day it will be on blu-ray im telling u microsoft is going to support blu-ray(google it if u want2) becouse they are desperate enough and toshiba should go back making fridges, son toshiba is losing money by paying universal and paramount studios $10,000,000 for not releasing their movies on blu-ray but in the end u will see toshiba making blu-ray players :D

HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 11, 2008 - oh no doubt!

mji245 Says:

Jan 11, 2008 - yea right no doubt, but it may take some time so how the war will officially end there are 2 ways :1.today blu-ray is outselling hd dvd by 3:1 but if it reaches 5:1 that's it game over 2.own all the 6 studios now blu-ray has got 2 left but it needs 1 studio to support it and the other 1 well what do i need to say (will support it)btw do u know what is the japanese word sony means in english it means success

HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 11, 2008 - yes, hddvd is slowing dieing out. Even though there are a few that wont believe it.

bujoun76 Says:

Jan 12, 2008 - HD-DVD actually uses the red laser. I have a PS3 and 33 Blu-ray movies to play in it. Im not even buying movies from studios that dont support Blu-ray until after the format war ends! however, I will still buy Battlestar Galactica though. But only that!

bujoun76 Says:

Jan 12, 2008 - Yeah, that's because it was made by Universal who is the only studio that has been exclusive to HD-DVD from the beginning. I dispise them. I won't buy any of their movies until HD-DVD finally goes under. Motherfrackers!

bujoun76 Says:

Jan 12, 2008 - An Isreali company managed to put a full Terabyte(TB) on a CD size disc using the red laser. Their in the process of using a blu laser and expect to get 5TB on a disc! Hello holodeck! LOL

HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 12, 2008 - Im pretty sure they both use blue lasers.Well acording to HDDVD offical website.

HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 12, 2008 - yes, but those disks are thousands of dollars, and they are still concept disks. are they not?

R3APER24 Says:

Jan 14, 2008 - I don't think so blu ray is sony format if microsoft convert xbox 360 will look foolish and they would be paying out the ass to sony there rival console

darkheartdrummer Says:

Jan 17, 2008 - sony was not the origanal creater if you will of blu-ray you idiot, oh and in the whole thing about disk capacity! you dont use the whole disk space either. and learn how to read q cards broget with it!

HDDVDvsBluRay Says:

Jan 17, 2008 - Well blu ray was/is headed by sony, and more storage provides for expansion in the future as well as extra special features. Because on alot if not all hd dvds have their special features in SD {480i)-HDDVDvsBluRay

darkheartdrummer Says:

Jan 18, 2008 - well it doesnt matter what color the disk is the companys both read the disk the same way the standard "red laser" does

Mackaber Says:

Feb 4, 2008 - One of the advantages of the blue lasers is that is cooler (literally), so the discs has less harm when they are played. Also I think that Microsoft commit the same stupidy that Sega has made, with the HD player.

Mackaber Says:

Feb 4, 2008 - Hey I have also a questions, are the HD-DVD's rewritables, because I know that all the blu-ray discs can be rewritten(even the PS3 discs).

FoxmanFilms Says:

Feb 19, 2008 - and the winner is BLU-Ray sorry HD-DVD

cobolsaurus Says:

Mar 18, 2008 - WHat are the regions for blu ray?

AgentofCreed Says:

Apr 1, 2008 - Okay you need to read up on your information. First of all, BLURAY disc is the only format to have a blue laser. Second, BLU-RAY disks are capable of having being single-layered or double-layered. A single-layered BLU-RAY disk is 25GB and a double-layered is 50GB. HDDVD can ONLY have a single-layered disc up to 25GB. HDDVD has an red laser. Also HDDVD only plays on 720p HDTVs and BLURAY plays on 480p,720p, 1080i, and 1080p and FULL HD which I will not go further at the moment.
