Oct 15, 2008 - Kraftwerk were also a firm favourite but there lack of regular albums and there seemingly 'happy to play in the studio while fans craved albums for years' annoyed me. Even Karl bartos got bored and formed 'Elektric Music' in the 90s tho that was short lived as well. Think i'll stick with ymo tyvm :)

Nov 21, 2008 - YMO are simply brilliant. the drumming is so tight, sounds like a drum machine with just a tiny hint of human swing. electronic music in the late 70s was really a turning point for humanity in that music being made in different corners of the earth sounded pretty much the same, based on a new set of universal ideas. special credit must go to Japan for giving us Korg, Roland, Yamaha etc -the instruments needed for all this great music. i'd love to know who invented the tr-808, he deserve a nobel.
