Jul 27, 2008 - She endangered other poeple's lives driving that fast and most of us have been under that kind of stress; I had many times during the last years of her life that I had to go to the ER to see my Mom and I never speeded I knew if I did I might be arrested which would delay me. She was stupid but the cop used excessive force, but if she hadn't been speeding none of this would have happened so she brought it on herself. And she was doing double the limit, so that is really bad.

It isn't up to the arresting officer whether or not they can go to the hospital to see a supposedly dieing family member, but is up to the law that governs the arresting process and transportation of criminals.I do agree with you, however, regarding the deputy's remarks; they were totally uncalled for.She should have stopped, explained the situation and asked for help; the deputy might have let her go.
