LivingForHisGlory Says:

Oct 27, 2008 - Beautiful song, & she sings it beautifully as well, however, the words "Christ became sin for us," is NOT Biblical. This comes from the Scripture in 2 Corin.5:21 which says, "God made Him Who had no sin to be a sin OFFERING for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." If Jesus BECAME sin, He would not be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. 1 Peter 2:22 says, "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth." 1 John 3:5 says, "And in Him is no sin."

LivingForHisGlory Says:

Oct 27, 2008 - I have seen this in a few other songs, & feel the need to bring this to the attention of other believers. We sing this song in my church, & I will NOT sing those words, because it is NOT true. We MUST guard & protect God's Word and Biblical doctrines against change. "contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints." Jude 3 There are too many false teachings attempting to destroy Biblical Christianity. We must test ALL things in light of Scripture!1 Thess.5:21 Acts 17:11

huangsj541 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - Dear LivingForHisGlory,There is niether "OFFERING" in original Greek, nor in most of English Bible translations. "Christ became sin for us" is 100% biblical. Just let the Scripture speak for itself....."He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him"----2 Cor.5:21 (NASB)

Nov 1, 2008 - I like the reverence of these songs, ... Just a note on the quote below, ... On the cross Jesus said, My God, My God why have you forsaken me. Jesus loves us soo very much, that He (who had no fault/blemish) took on our sins and was thus separated from God while on the cross. Because of that love gift, we accept His garment and heart of perfection day by day and hour by hour. Is'nt that beautiful.

MagnoliaOnBroadway Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - This is such a nice song, by such a talented young lady. We had a woman at our church sing this song with such emotion, such power! For the first time in a really long time, it was going to this church in particular, that made me finally really enjoy church. Not only was the preacher there REALLY amazing, but it was the choir. They were all just so wonderful! They MADE you want to praise God! And so I think that yes, a song and a good voice, paired together, are very important.

2Timothy4vs5 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Now that is a picture of true beauty. A women that loves the Lord, sings beautiful, looks beautiful with a sweet spirit. This is the kind of women that should be the roll model for young girls and the desire of men.
