Jun 8, 2008 - what a classy sexy lady!!! what happened to the music today??!!!.....it just makes me sad!

moderndesignworks Says:

Jun 8, 2008 - Patsy Cline's version was great, it was very feminine and soft, but Shirley's version has more soul and emotion, and I like this version better. There are no other artists has made this cover better than the original except Shirley Bassey!

Jun 8, 2008 - "could you sit down Tommy......".............LOL

Jun 9, 2008 - I love this woman's voice! I can't believe I never heard her perform until tonight. It's like I've had my head buried in the sand. I've missed decades of Miss Shirley's beautiful voice ... what a loss on my part!

Scot90230 Says:

Jun 9, 2008 - Dame Shirley Bassey is best known in the USA for her three James Bond Theme songs, 'Goldfinger' 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'Moonraker' - She is the only artist who has recorded more than one Bond song. Also from the USA, sometimes I feel that there are two dimensions. In the UK and throughout most of Europe, Latin America, and Asia, Bassey is a DIVA. She has recorded over 625 songs >> Bassey has a song for everyone!

Jun 23, 2008 - I feel the same way. Although I've known her voice and heard the songs I've never seen her live performances. Tonight I've spent hours watching every one of them and have fallen madly in love with this woman with each one. The men of her time, I can't even imagine how out of their minds they must have been. I started with her performance of Yesterday When I Was Young, watched it 3 times in a row and wept more and more with each viewing...

Jul 3, 2008 - Thank goodness for the gorgeous voice of Shirely Bassey. The soul and spirit there is most touching. By comparison, today's singers are wimps and screechers.

Aug 1, 2008 - STOP all the arguing about the Dame singing Crazy. Its her own rendition nothing to do with who is better. Its not fair to project that Patsy if alive could achieved same status as the Dame.tHE fact remains that thru all the tragic and heartbroken she survived it all.She is 71 now and better than ever, with that type of singing she does ,if not singing is her life and that she gives, thats why she is adored and forever loyal to her,an ultimate performer, anyone who sees her perform bcome a convert.

Aug 8, 2008 - Now there is an interesting remark by Sean C, a game of soccer hmm.I had a 4yr relationship with a lovely girl from South Wales, guess what! she used the same term, soccer when she was feeling sexy ie "fancy a game of soccer". Therefore it is reasonable to assume from his nomenclature that he & she have been lovers, probably when she was married to the iron. I'm sure with the talent that DSB possesses it was some ride.

BBQFlow Says:

Aug 18, 2008 - The music she sings isn't just very...c-co-co-coo...I still can't say it....COOL! There I go!If she sang something more groovy, funky, rock, just something more cathing that makes you move, her voice would be appreciated by me as well. Now that the genre she sticks to is granny stuff, I'll never get to really enjoy her capability.

BBQFlow Says:

Aug 18, 2008 - Who is the bloke and how is the joke at 5:35 supposed to be understood?"Now, what can you say? Shirley Bassey...C B E O A P." The audience: "HAHAHAHA!"What? Could you explain that to me?Thank you!

BBQFlow Says:

Aug 18, 2008 - I figured out he's Jimmy Tarbuck, but I didn't figure out the catch of the joke and here comes another one."When we were youngsters together, he had the greatest talent of all of us, I have to say that. Are you still seeing any of them?" Any of WHOM?Thank you - again!

Rosannasfriend Says:

Aug 18, 2008 - she has sung rock songs with the likes of the propellers and yello, sung Get the Party Started, The Living Tree, I Wanna Know What Love Is, Who Wants to Live Forever, You'll See, all songs by younger "cool" artists. If you appreciate real talent, you'll appreciate her no matter what she sings though. She's from a different era, and her main will of course be "older" music.

Sidowse Says:

Aug 27, 2008 - "CBE" is an award.....OAP stand for Old Age Pensioner.
