Jan 29, 2007 - Hi Bill, you're right.Major razor manufacturers don't want to halve their blade sales by doubling razor blade usage. BUT we want it,the Green lobby want it. An uphill struggle to make it onto the shelves. I've resisted the "go it alone"in the garage approach, up until now, this market need big volumes. However it really is a v.simple idea. If none of the major manufacturers or retailors take a bite then I may have to do this, I think I'll give it another 6 months.cheers Mark.

Jan 29, 2007 - Hmmm, didn't see the Green aspect of them, I suppose the less plastic we throw into the garbage the better all round. At the end of the day if they were in the shops now I'd try them out. The idea seems sound to me...
markHESKETH Says:
Jan 30, 2007 - The Green benefit comes from making good use of all the blades. When the front blades get tired you only throw away two blades housed in a smaller volume cartridge, with a Gillette five blade razor you throw away all of the blades.

Jan 30, 2007 - It seems like a good idea, I'd certainly be interested in trying them if I saw these blades on the shelves. Good luck with it.

Jan 30, 2007 - Thanks for your comment, I'm sure everyone would welcome an alternative to the dominant main razor manufacturers who seem to have got stuck in a rut with their new designs. They're great at manufacture but in my opinion the fusion lacks novelty. I cannot believe Schick will respond to the Gillette Fusion with a vibrating six bladed system?
BurntSchneider Says:
Jan 30, 2007 - Really?! SIX blades? It's getting ridiculous. Haven't heard of schick though, are they an American brand? (I'm posting from Ireland)
markHESKETH Says:
Jan 30, 2007 - Schick plc produce Wilkinson Sword razors. They don't make a 6 blade,it's the only "Innovation" the big boys come up with, first the Mach3, then the Quattro with 4 and now the Fusion with 5. The Hesketh 4x4 has 4 blades,it's enough! yet the cartridge is split into two, so we can make good use of all the blades, not just throwing the whole lot away when the only the ones at the front get tired. Amazing, these companies spend millions on technical staff but miss the blindingly obvious!!

Feb 2, 2007 - Hello Mark. This is an excellent idea. I don't have a tough beard but even so I find my twin blade razors lose their effectiveness all too quickly and it's not improved by moving to triple blade. So I am all for your idea and I will certainly purchase one when it reaches the market place as I'm sure it will in time. Wishing all the best in this venture. Regards Nicholas Fisher - Milton Keynes

Nov 27, 2007 - start using an oldschool double edge razor and screw all this cartridge crap - seriously
Nakeiadragon Says:
Nov 30, 2007 - Yeah do it Mark takle these jerks. They are the main reason why millions of men and weman across the U.S. are losing money.Because they make these ideas up and tell us it's the worlds best shave. But Mark I respect everything about your invention.Because its about time someone stood up and confronted these rich jerks.
markHESKETH Says:
Dec 2, 2007 - Hi Nakeiadragon, thanks for the encouraging words. I think I'm doing the right thing by making the invention known worldwide, because there's no way that the big players will support any idea that doubles the life of the razors, they'll just see it as halving their sales! Hopefully a more enlightened manufacturer will take it on, but right now they seem to be waiting until the USA patent comes through, filed 30 months ago, very near completion. Thanks again. mark
Nakeiadragon Says:
Dec 2, 2007 - No problem Mark. Your doing a good thing for us all by putting out your new invention.I would like to know where I could get one or when it hits stores.Because I really respect you for your effort in creating a great everyday tool. Thanks Mark.NakeiaDragon

Jun 10, 2008 - rolling razor is the most innovative razor on the market. i love it

Bill33432 Says:
Jan 29, 2007 - Makes sense to me, but you'd never get Gillette to promote it, the last thing they want is blades that lastlonger. What do you think that wear strip is all about on the blades, it's just to look like hell to induce you to throw the razor away, I just ignore it and the blades shave 4-5 days past that before they start to dull out. Good Luck with your idea, where would we buy these from anyway, I wouldn't mind trying it, it would have to be from a Yorkshure Lad if it's "saving money" grin.
