Mar 13, 2008 - Hauntingly beautiful. It's cool watching Keith play guitar. Well, I'm sure he was well trained by Yardbird guitar heroes. Keith Relf - R.I.P.

Mar 19, 2008 - 1974-75(?)Concert at Wheeling High School in Illinois.Wheeling, suburb of Chicago.Wishbone Ash(we were fans of)and Renaissance.Show started announcement "Ren~'s manager had booked them a flight to Wheeling, West Virginia and they weren't there".A scene out of Spinal Tap."Wishbone was going to jam extra long and extra hard to make up.Being fans and seeing all their shows;we knew W/A did a short set.If Ren~ had been there and done a good show, perhaps we would have bought their album.

Mar 31, 2008 - Being the ultimate Yardbirds fan, I bought this Renaissance LP when it came out. It was produced by Paul Samwell-Smith ( original bassist of the Yardbirds).. It's a beautiful record, with great vocals and tasty music. Tasty understated guitar by Keith Relf. Around this time I became aware of The Nice and later ELP... So this is what they sounded like live... very good indeed and Jane Relf was a doll!

Apr 3, 2008 - For me it's quite a discovery!.. I have just bought Illusion from Renaissance as I have always been a K. Relf fan. The two, brother & sister are both dolls!
acidtones1 Says:
Apr 20, 2008 - Correct me if I'm wrong. Renaissance was formed by Keith Relf, Jim McCarty, Jane Relf, and others. But the band fell apart and Jim McCarty reformed it. But then he soon left the reformed band afterwords. Is this how the story goes? Click on my name and send me a message explaining this to me.

Apr 25, 2008 - go on Wikipedia digiting Renaissance then go at the end of the page under Discography -albums, click on Illusion and you will get the rest of the story.

Aug 5, 2008 - I have the album too.Kings and Queens rocks. So does the first 5 minutes of Bullet. Wanderer is brilliant. brilliant album.
pokbacsi100 Says:
Aug 12, 2008 - Ha, ha, ha, the bassist looks like a tall version of Dio. Dio and Sir Blackmore's interpretation of Renaissance (not the band, but the style that influenced it) took the music in a much heavier direction with Rainbow. But Blackmore's Night now plays traditional style Renaissance as well as modified versions and original style pieces of their own. If you like these guys you'll probably like them as well. I like prettymuch everything they've done so far.

Aug 14, 2008 - If you'd like more info on the band goggle northern lights renaissance. This is the official bandsite; history, discography, lyrics, news, everything (including links to tour dates.)
metalburger2 Says:
Sep 11, 2008 - Blackmore is a horrible musician and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. There is a reason he has to keep forming his own bands, he is such an ass no one will work with him.
pokbacsi100 Says:
Sep 12, 2008 - You mean he may be an egotistic son of a bitch so to speak, but he's an excellent musician, may very well be the greatest all around guitarist since Django Reinhard, judging from his huge repertoire spanning more genres than any other pro out there. They say he can be difficult, sure, but they also say this is because he's a perfectionist. You have to put it in context otherwise you sound ignorant.

Oct 10, 2008 - Hey! The guy at the bass, called Louis Cennam, really made a good & hard work!
dashkee94 Says:
Oct 20, 2008 - Hey denveredintorni The bassist is Louis Cennamo and he used to play with James Taylor. For more info, go to the Northern Lights Renaissance website.

Oct 20, 2008 - Hi HyardacilI agree and I think "The Sea" is another great song off this album. The keyboards remind me of the Moody Blues' "Go Now."

Oct 28, 2008 - thanks for posting this!
plantagenant Says:
Nov 4, 2008 - Ha! I think your right but I think he's quite a good musician... he's just got no taste...more interesting though is have you noticed how his hair gets more thicker and curlier the older he gets. Surely he's not wearing a wig!!?
Thomaspwgy Says:
