Jul 27, 2007 - whos cover is this? for some reason i wanna say that the guitarists' solos sound like the ones in nobuo eumatsu's band "the black mages" yea...thats what i think...but over it was an interesting video...i thought it was a pretty good cover instrumentally...the persons voice was kinda weird at certain spots. LOL

Aug 17, 2007 - im sorry but this version of the song is superior in just about every possible way.....The writing credit of course goes to the genius of x-japan.... BUT this version is far better.Better guitar, better drums, better everything.... only his voice sometimes isnt quite as good
BoM45 Says:
Aug 17, 2007 - also, sorry to be a smartass but i do think your lyrics to rusty nail are quite innaccurate also.
TaciturnHeart Says:
Sep 15, 2007 - Forgive my ignorance, but I'd dare assert that this cover makes the song sound more like power metal than the alternative metal of the original (it especially seems very befitting of the power metal genre in the chorus). I won't say any one is better; why not just accept them on their own merits? This version lacks the classical backing the original had, but this has something the original doesn't have as well. Both are genius in their own rights.

Oct 27, 2007 - i just love the starfall and astronomy albums. in my point of view the other albums sound like they could have been done by another band. this is my favourite song along with antimatter and direction perfection.great AMV!

Jul 2, 2008 - this dragonland version just doesnt cut it for me.. :X its still good tho.
nemetroid Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - better.. It's not like power metal didn't exist when rusty nail was written. rather x japan chose a more light and clean style for this song and their music in general, which is a subjective matter of taste. my personal opinion is that the lighter sound fits this song much better, but clearly, you disagree. :)
