Nov 16, 2008 - Enya is anything but Shallow. She is completely on a different musical path. Her deliberate style IS her substance. Enya's music is ethereal and progressive. Loreena's is earthly and regressive (by that I mean use of old melodies and instruments and styles). Where Enya looks without and forward, Loreena looks within and at the past. They are completely different. But calling Enya "shallow" isn't understanding her music at all. Watermark and The Celts were some of the deepest music ever made.

Nov 17, 2008 - hey garidara good analysis, but i'll argue that both artists are highly perceptual, whilst Enya is more radical Lorenna is more subtle, although both are highly eloquently inclined. I wouldnt say Enya is "shallow", eg 'Storms in Africa' 'Caribbean Blue' 'China Roses' - its impossible to label her shallow!
