We have seen this even in extreme forms of torture. If something is true to a person, it does not change due to verbal or physical abuse. Unless, the person being harmed chooses to temporarily relinquish their beliefs to diminish the pain received...but, this is not being dominated this is just common sense for those who suffer.

There are theories, being tested at this moment such as string theory and the brane theories. I do not claim to know what happened before the big bang, but to claim that it was a conscious being/ god does nothing to clarify anything about that point of "existence".
