I'm about to buy this Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro set and i was wondering if it really would change anything? My current SigMaTel sound card sucks and i hate it. I hear the crackling sound in 2 of my racing games which i hate!

Oct 21, 2008 - 50% of what they say is lies. iv had this and the titaniam and fatality card. there not bad but for gamers the real thing to go for is the razer barracuda 7.1 ( 7.1 there a 5.1 aswell ) and its crystal clear quality but creative not as good. creative are good for music. but when it comes to gaming , razer are pro. with the razer barracuda headset and the sound card ( make sure you got them seperate. in a single package the soundcard is 5.1) its the best for crystal clear gaming.hope i helped, Gl

The model number is SB0770. Look it up and you'll be surprised to see how little you can spend to make your media experiences jump out at you like a movie theater.The odd thing is that this model actually has MORE features in a way because it has an optical in and out port on the back.I just installed it and love it!
