Sep 29, 2008 - I liked the first season because it was over there, where the ice road thing is huge, hundreds of trucks come from everywhere to work. It was fun to point out all my friends we spotted.I hateeee the fact that the show came to this side of the fence. They were in Yellowknife for a reason, we don't need that crap here. Inuvik is accesible year round, lots of trucks going in there daily except for freeze up and break up. The guys that run that road for a living and not for fame think it sucks too

I just don't condone the sensationalism caused by this show. I know too many real ice roaders personally. Going on the ice is so totally normal to me, just something that happens here, as normal as the snow falling.No hard feelings I hope and I totally look forward to your vids from up there!

Sep 30, 2008 - in the summer, I drive a pup locally with packaged ice in 7# and 22# bags. not quite the same, but I enjoy watching Ice Road Truckers, even though it does seem a bit over-dramatized.
