Nov 12, 2008 - As this clip shows, even Hendrix was bored with his own version of "Hey Joe". The Leaves version is much more imaginative, fast-paced, and definitely NOT boring.

Nov 13, 2008 - Actually, the Heywoods' version of "Hey Joe" (Queen Bee Rec., Cincinnati circa '66, I think—UMCOMPED, too!) blows away the Leaves version, IMHO. And Johnny Rivers did pretty far-out version on his "Revisited" LP.But the greatness of Hendrix's version cannot be denied, I'm sorry. Been a Leaves fan for decades myself, too. Both are great, just different...

Nov 13, 2008 - The Experience's partner in Rythm and Insanity has passed away. Only God knows how many arms Mitch used up during his carrier. Their music is stronger and valid as ever. Passing of legends, forever young. Long live the Experience!

Nov 12, 2008 - Actually Jimi Hendrix's version of Hey Joe is the best version ever! Many have covered and played this song, really many, but only Jimi Hendrix played it like nobody else and did it justice in the real and best way!
