Sep 7, 2008 - this yogi should know that the UN IS EVIL!
TracyMcSpacy Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - tigno323: Evil is a manmade concept. Early man needed instinct alone to provide all that was needed, then came his inherent need to apply names, and to those names concepts. A hurricane can kill thousands, and yet it is not evil, and what many would call destruction is actually another form of creation. We can't divorce ourselves from nature or ancient instincts, but we can choose to create rather than destroy, and love rather than hate.

Sep 7, 2008 - Please notice that the awaking of Kundalini is very dangarous for people who are not steady in vairagyam and brahmacharyam. That is why the kundalini-jagaranam is kept secret. This is a serious warning.Try to be succesful in yama and niyama. This is the first step.

Sep 7, 2008 - I heard him mention the Kechari Mudra, i have been attempting to perform this mudra and even seeing the videos of the people who have seemed to master this technique, all have rather long tongues. Making it appear simple to place the tongue behind the uvula. Is there a procedure for making the tongue flexible enough to move into that position?
d00b65 Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - There are two forms of this practice one is gently placing the tongue as far back as possible and the other involves a razor, salt and tumeric. The first method seems sufficiently effective for the majority of people. However, further information can be obtain in the Hatha Padprika by the Bihar school of Yoga. I hope the information helps.

Sep 7, 2008 - For the Khechari Mudra, is it really necessary to cut the tongue? Is there not a better way to lengthen the tongue? And also, if the point of the mudra is to plug the nasal cavity, can't you just place some sort of device up there as an alternative to the tongue and still get the same benefits?
respectreality2008 Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - hopefully you dont think you need to cut the tounge if you choose to block senses with device then you should it will help and in time you can do naturelly the tounge is your woriest enemie
KashiLight Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - I was told when I was given the technique for kriya yoga that the tongue will stretch naturally, but that it takes time and constant practice to achieve, and that if you would pursue to gently stretch the tongue back as you meditate, by the time you are ready for the seal you will have the flexibility to hold it. I hope this helps and that I was clear. Anyone who is better informed than I please add or correct me. Peace! God Bless You!!! ~kashi
michaelkhalsa Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - No, you must use the tongue. It creates a kind of sensation, which is hieghtened through your sensitivity of practice. This sensation is both physical and non-physical. This draws the senses in, very beautiful, and most be experienced for yourself. The time it takes to bring the toungue back is part of the time it takes to open an inner fluidity and clarity as well. Practice sinserly and consistantly, enjoy each practice, and let it unfold. The energy itself finalizes mastery of kechari.
sixwingsram Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - never cut the frenum under the tongue! If you sever the nadi in this way , you will never access the amrit and the connection to the Brahma gufa at the Shivanetra. Do the chalan and talabya to stretch the frenum naturally. You need to complete the nadi thru the gland in the frenum by accessing that chakra and completing the circuit with kechari mudra. There are no short cuts and I mean that literally. Om.
