Jun 25, 2008 - So what is this... this isn't like an MPC huh this is just a controller to control reason or fruity loops or whatever?

Jul 16, 2008 - do all the sound sets come with the MPK49?

teacee Says:

Jul 19, 2008 - To setup with Logic click 'File' / 'Project Settings' / 'Synchronization' Then from within the Synchronization window select the 'MIDI' tab. Look under the MIDI Machine Control (MMC) section and make sure it's configured to 'Listen to MMC input'.Part 1

teacee Says:

Jul 19, 2008 - As for using configuring the note repeat feature of the MPK49 you need to set the unit to external sync, then from within logic on the menu bar select 'File' / 'Project Settings' / 'Synchronization' Then from within the Synchronization window select the 'MIDI' tab. Look under the 'Transmit MIDI Clock' section and make sure the checkbox is selected for a destination and that the 'Akai MPK49' is selected from the drop down.Part 2

Jul 22, 2008 - Feature request: Add in the MPC (standand) Sequencer. Being that, most DAW/VSTI ?Virtual sampler users don't need the sampler, rather still want to use the killer MPC sequencer...I would like to see this added to this product and the MPD32..

gizroc Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - hey i have an mpk as well , are you running into any timing issues with the note repeat? i set my midi clock to external and then i set my DAW quantize to match the akai time division, but then when i record with the note repeat on , the sample doesn't start immediately , it starts on the second beat. do you know how to fix that?

mrfr0sty Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I can't assign a single key with this controller, can't work it out at all. In Live I select the Midi assign key in the top right, all the controls go blue as they should. I select say the slider for channel 1 and then move the sider up and down on the keyboard but nothing, nada. Been trying to do this now for over a month, fustrating as hell.

dubberdubs Says:

Aug 4, 2008 - LOL. It's only a midi-controller

netbird Says:

Aug 6, 2008 - user manual? customer service?comments on youtube won't help you, i'm afraid

blingsity Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Can zones be created on the MPK49 like the Axiom so that you can spread samples or sounds on different parts of the keyboard?

SULLYEEE475 Says:

Aug 26, 2008 - No... but i would imagine that they could make some updates

ThiZzMaTiK Says:

Aug 26, 2008 - How can I hook my AKAI MPK49 up to Fruity Loops 8????

thedarkspirit Says:

Sep 2, 2008 - You could create zones... With a software sampler. ;)

blingsity Says:

Sep 2, 2008 - Which one do you recommend?

djbriang Says:

MiCkOwEnS7 Says:

Sep 28, 2008 - amp probably

yournickedmarra Says:

Oct 13, 2008 - of corse u do this is just a MIDI controller it has no sounds built in!

benrox26 Says:

Oct 13, 2008 - DAMN IT i wish they would just make one where you dont have buy all the software like reason and shit

yournickedmarra Says:

Oct 13, 2008 - ok u need to think about what you really want then. a laptop running reason or ableton or other such software with a midi controller will definatly provide you with an amazing arsonal of sounds and very easy o use sequencing application. however if you really dont want to go down the computer lane then you should consider some thing in the MPC sampler rage or something like the korg electribe. Alteratively you could fork out thousands on a hardware synth and do it the ld fashioned way!

mitsuda Says:

Nov 6, 2008 - I'm sorry, but the camera in this shit moves way to fast and is dizzying as hell.

leguitarist35 Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - Could you use this with Garageband or Logic Express?
