Sep 5, 2008 - An excellent video. Thanks for sharing. However it is painful to see how the initial comments appreciating the techniques shown degenerated into messages filled with hatred and utter stupidity. So many people have appreciated the video for the awesome poses performed. Many of these are advanced level and not advised without supervision by an expert (I mean, a true expert).

nitin833 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Yoga has as its aim the strengthening of body (mainly, through asanas), mind (mainly, through pranayam and meditation) in order to prepare for true spiritual journey which only starts when one loses one's ego and learns to love and care for everyone, when one recognizes the temporary nature of physical things including his or her body, feels detachment from worldly pleasure (means when he or she finds both pleasure and pain equal and doesn't hold preference for any of them).

CT2507 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - carefull u dont put the "cart before the horse". The "journey" doesnt start when one "looses one's ego, or learns to love and care for everyone, or finds both pleasure and pain equal"These are all end-game principles. Not possible for the beginner! If u think u can do these at the start of the journey u risk to fall in the trap of intelectualizing of the process! Instead of having real results.look at it realisticaly and set yourself small goals that are attainable in the begining

Sep 5, 2008 - This guy has great control. Hes flipping from inverted poses into lotus posture and doing uddhiyana bandha then goes into lion pose. The stomach movements are nauli and he ends with sitali pranamyama. Very polished and i bet he was exceptionally healthy and powerful. Nice vid.

chantalbernard Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Inspiring. Also the yoga "trend" is (maybe more less) over 4000 years old...

serpentphoenix Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - another great thing, yoga, to come out of India and Hinduism - unlike Islam, which gave the world suicide bombers, sharia law and religious intolerance, oh im sorry i'll deafen down and pretend thats not true. Lets just stay quiet while they conduct hate speaches across the globe on our way of life. amen

CDurkan Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Yes, let's stay quiet, less anger and fear overcome us to commit violent acts towards our fellow man. Be the light that you wish to see changed in the world, Otherwise will YOU be the one to spread more hatred and fear and violence with your words? "Hate speeches" :)

CDurkan Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I honour the teachers with their two lotus feet; who have revealed to me the joy that is mine; most excellent sages, my refuge in the dark impenetrable thicket; who bring peace from the poison and illusion seeking ever to exist. Aum Shanti shanti shanti Aum.

Sep 5, 2008 - There is something in this video that is timeless. Now we live in a society that allows one to simply take bits and pieces from other cultures to formulate their own "identity"...I find it an inevitable and somewhat sad phenomenon, due to the fact that most will discard this "fad" and go on to the next that best suits their life: the power of crystals, pilates, Buddhism, transcendentalism, palm reading, horoscopes, tarot reading...etc...

kittyw0man Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i "should 'properly' not bother reading our comments"...you know what? your totally right. I apologize for not mastering the grammar of the language of Stupid as you have superbly done so yourself. yes india and hinduism are very interesting, and good job with offensively stereotyping and insulting the Islamic religion.

Impermanence Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Great video, I feel I've learned a lot from just one viewing. As I watch his fit and limber body move I feel my own stiff biosuit crave just a fraction of what he had achieved. Time to get out that Yoga mat I bought on Amazon last year, I think I only used it once, shameful. It's not hard to do a little every day and the rewards are phenomenal.

binaryfidget Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - the rewards are phenomenal but, well... impermanent ;)

alanalandenton Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - We're all impermanent, it's one of the things that yoga teaches!

Seyahhsod Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - What's really weird is I use to do all this when I was a child and didn't know what Yoga was.I just did it because it felt good afterwords. My mom saw me doing it and thought I was copying something I saw on television and I would get up with her and do yoga before school with a thin woman in a ponytail. I would tell my mom. She's not doing it right or we need to go to the station and tell her she's teaching it wrong. My mom would laugh and then later ask me, how do you know?

Mevlevi1207 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Pretty cool

zardozcs Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - His abdominal muscle control is quite spectacular. It shows you any muscle you exercise will strenghten and the more you exercise it the more control you will have over it.

justawordaway Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - You will be fine in body but yoga is a body + mind thing. Have you heard modern medicine talking about holistic care? They all realized you cannot treat the body as a separate identity from mind. You need to take care of them both. Without health of the one the health of the other is pointless. This is why you need yoga and not normal stretching :)

justawordaway Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Playing xylophone too bad the video is silent so you cannot get the real flavor.
