Jul 17, 2007 - I have noticed there a mouse point moving . One single question : is this a fake or this software + an webcam is replacing a TrackIR?

ck2tube Says:

Jul 17, 2007 - This is not a fake. The view is controled by head movements. This software translates head movements to mouse input and joystick axes, which can be used in game control.

Aug 9, 2007 - You should really focus on marketing. While I think that this, and software like this probably never will come close to TrackIR it does cost a tenth of what trackir costs. I think many people would be interested in it, they just don't know of its existence.

Aug 10, 2007 - Thanks for your comment. I feel the same way and am trying to target the right market. We are open to any suggestiongs and cooperation intentions. Do you have an idea who will be the most interested people, and how to reach them?

Jan 13, 2008 - Don't waste your energy and money on a Trackir like project ck2tube. This software is already for free. The only thing you need to have for 6DOF are three LEDlights, a cheap webcam and the free software from Freetrack. Freetrack has some demo's on Youtube, by the way. Thousands of people already downloaded the software and it works really good!

Mar 13, 2008 - Three LEDlights and setting them up.. It can hardly be free! Cachya is an option for those who don't feel like to spend hours to study led theory.Thousands have been distributed so far. But... Thanks for your advise anyway.

ck2tube Says:

Mar 13, 2008 - Cachya works well with Armed-Assault. You can look around without touching mouse. That frees up your hand for other actions. Cachya supports mouse and joystick simulation. Looking around can be achieved through mouse-look. Virtual joystick device can be used to control lean and zoom. These are all standard features come with Armed-A. You just need to dig them out. Mouse-look can be temporarily disabled when you move mouse for aiming.
