Jun 11, 2008 - san shou is ok... its more modern idk

MeckelBot Says:

Jun 22, 2008 - i really like san shou... combining strikes with take downs is great, the main problem with strikers is that they go down quite easy, but if they do san shou, they are allways ready to defend against the takedown

Kenyawn Says:

Aug 22, 2008 - Or, like Cung Le, you whip their tush straight to the ground and then take a few steps back, just daring them to keep standing up with you.

aappty Says:

Sep 9, 2008 - striker my ass. the southpaw was wide open for a left hook and a straight right (either or combo). if the other guy had a clue he would have khtfo.

BakaYaru13 Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - No, because that would've opened him up for all kinds of throws

aappty Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - a left hook/ straight right does not automatically open you up to throws dumbass.

BakaYaru13 Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - So getting close to an experienced throw artist and extending your arms doesn't open you up to be thrown?

aappty Says:

Sep 15, 2008 - umm, the fact that you are not aware that you don't have to get close to throw a straight right or a left hook lends significant credibility to your dumbass status.

BakaYaru13 Says:

Sep 15, 2008 - If your close enough to touch somebody, they're close enough to throw you. Have you ever been thrown?

aappty Says:

Sep 16, 2008 - yes i have. so, i guess there is no reason for ma fighters to work on striking skills anymore. just shoot in?? you're an idiot. next time don't post on subjects u have no clue about.

BakaYaru13 Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - 'Shooting' is a takedown, not a throw, and what in any of my comments has said striking is inferior to throws and takedowns? I've never even hinted to it.

freytheviking Says:

Sep 19, 2008 - I do Sanshou and I think the scoring system is too heavily biased towards grapplers. It sometimes does not reflect who has done the most damage.

jebus733 Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - yea well grapplers need love too. Look at mma. It's so biased towards the strikers and people don't know how much more technical it is for grapplers. The people still assume that striking>grappling. You need both. I'm glad that grapplers get more points too.
