Sep 7, 2008 - momentum is everything in football, but john tyler just frankly sucked ass. poor tackling and on an onside you let it come to you and then you fall on it, dont dive for it AND they onsided it 3 times the coach should have been smart enough to put the hands team in and had the whole team at the line and not be in regular formation. oh well crazy ass game though

Sep 7, 2008 - I WAS THERE, BABIEEEEE!!!! We got up and left because our team, my alma mater, JOHN TYLER, had just lost their momentum. We were soooooooo mad!!!! We left when there were 31 seconds left in the game. We were all the way in the parking lot putting the car key in the lock when all of a sudden we hear cheers and people yelling "JOHN TYLER SCORED...WE WON!!!!" JUST UNBELIEVABLE! We hated those announcers, but this game made them "famous" for 15 minutes because they were on the Tonight Show :-)

Sep 7, 2008 - So sad that it all that work went down the toilet on just that one kickoff, so sad but stuff like that happens. For who don't know John Tyler ended up winning 5A state division II while Plano East rival Plano Senior High won the 5A state in Division I.

I will agree with everyone else by saying that the announcers for this game were absolutely hilarious. I get a kick out of them every time I watch this.

Sep 7, 2008 - I remember this being shown on sportscenter (back before they destroyed professional sports).Normally, I don't care who wins a football game, especially a high school football game. Unless I have money on the game. But this, like you say, is heartbreaking.Sometimes the football gods are just a group of heartless bastards.
