Sep 6, 2008 - It's a good beginning. Later on one will (re)charge the batteries coninuously with the help of a built-in "free energy" magnetic electric generator "GENIE" or similar; see magneticpowerinc dot comThis will give the fuelless EV an unlimited range. As the generators become more powerful, the batteries can be minimized (only needed for acceleration) or even become obsolete. That's the future!

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Good old zero point energy and bullshit magnet motors. Just because someone puts up a website doesn't mean what they say is real. Magnet motors do not produce power, the second power is turned off they start to lose RPM, and that's with no load.... You'll notice all these motors are never demonstrated running a load. Idiots have been trying to con people with these things for years, quote one single real world application where they are or have ever been used? It's all BS.

xawesomexelix Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Yeah, its a scam. There's no such thing as free energy.

Sep 6, 2008 - electric cars are soo good that car campanys don't wan them ,they need to sell the car to you and continue making money in parts every year ,+ oil companys don't wan them nither and we all know the reason.

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - What would you call solar, wind, hydro, geothermal etc?

JUKIO01 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - when i graduate from college my parents are going to buy me a new car. im going to convert a car to electric, make it go 1000 miles per charge instead.

Sep 6, 2008 - ha ha I love the 150 mph in reverse.

dakiro222 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - with todays batteries it seems to be the best solution so far. Even with the petrol motor it seems to be pretty green, especially considering the petrol motor will go at the optimal speed and event that not always. The really stupid thing is the battery price though. The motors are bound to be expensive too.

TheCopilot91 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - But with a petrol motor, that's called a HYBRID, I want a plug in vehicle that only starts the petrol when I need the range.

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - It's "ment" to be using a 250cc go-kart motor in the boot floor. You'd hardly expect that to be used for anything other than battery charging!

dstevens101 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Very cool car, but I don't buy the 'neural networking' bit. Marketing baloney would be my bet.

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I'd 100% agree with you. I also think the fact they've wheeled in an outsider from a University who's going on about Artificial Intelligents and Neural Networks means PML have no idea how to even start designing the 4 wheel motor inverter system for this car. It's not that difficult!

innerhealing123 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Thats why Gas is so expensive. Thay know that oil won't be neaded like it is today!!!

rbbegg Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I want one. Will they sell it in the US?

viperstd Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - It isn't marketing hype. What he is saying, is that the algorythm for the anti-skid system was a self-learning system. The computer was 'shown' what a skid was so that it would recognize one in the future. This is a pretty common way to make systems like this. Of course, the user (driver) doesn't care how the anti lock/skid/plane/etc system works... just that it does.

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Neural networks "common", that's rubbish!A simple PID with gyro/accelerometer input will do the job.

SBha30 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I WANT THIS CAR!!

Fr0z3nFr0g Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - the only way for that shit to work is to have a system with 100% efficiency, which is impossible. plus soon as you start putting the energy to use...moving the car...that energy is used. you cant just make free energy, it has to come from somewhere. And by saying, solar panels, or anythign like that, your still taking in power. their is no such thing as "free energy" it is lost in everything. oh and all motors produce power through magnets. or pneumatics, or hydrolics. but thier not electrical.

Fr0z3nFr0g Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - ooops. ment to reply to the guy talking about free magnetic motors, with no batteries and stuff...

sirmikeydotcom Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - How many kilowatts outputs the generator? The new Japanese water powered generator electric car is supposedly requiring 3KW of power (heavy).

b0nes2 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - What happens if you suddenly lose power at 100mph? I think they need to have backup mechanical/hydraulic brakes. Also what will happen with those motors when driving through puddles?

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - There's 4 individual wheel motors with 4 individual inverters so the chances are all 4 failing at once are LESS than the chances of a dual circuit hydraulic brake system failing! What makes you thing an electric motor can't drive through a puddle, the windings are totally sealed and water proofed and it's magnetic force that drives the car forwardand brakes it whereas friction brakes ARE effected by puddles (ever driven out of a car wash and tried to brake heavily?)

nut1974 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - search "Dodge Viper 500 hp Vs Tzero Electric Car - See Who Wins"

hypnosubject Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I buy that it's fast, but how does it handle? Isn't that a lot of unsprun weight?

tsport100 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - The wheel motors replace the brakes, so there's no net gain in unsprung weight!
