oobeus Says:
Sep 10, 2008 - actually, the *click* should have become reinforcement enough so you don't need to use food. the cat should be happy enough to hear the click because it associates it with a treat

Bindlossclun Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - the click sound is fake, why did you put it in?
brinstar117 Says:
Nov 8, 2008 - Bindlossclun,The click sound is coming from a handheld device from the trainer. It is sounded when the cat nears the switch in order to positively reinforce the cat's attention towards the switch. That way it can be conditioned to identify the clicking sound with the switch and with a reward of food.

Dec 25, 2008 - I wonder how many treats it will take to teach the cat to wash the dishes.
Lokussapiens Says:
Dec 26, 2008 - Hi! The click is called conditioned reinforcer for operant behaviour. But when cat has finished his response, the switch is visible in opposite direction, the cat has sensed it tipped over, and the switch also makes a sound. Could u give me an analysis over the situation? I also wonder about what we call learning. The cats brain is obviously changed since the responses come faster. Is there any litterature u know of which describes what happens in brain when humans is learning?
