We were lost and the logging roads are tough to drive on. I will say the folks in the small town of snowflake did not want to acknowledge this event.

Feb 4, 2008 - I read the first publication of this story published in 1976 titled "The Walton Experience". And in one of the chapters Travis stated that (on board the ship) in the control room, when he walked toward the center of the room, the stars and constellations became visible through the structure. This was totally different than the book that preceeded the movie Fire in the Sky. What about the low gravity terrestrial area he was in before the Alien experiment happened?

May 22, 2008 - I remember watching a documentary about this which was a long time ago before the book and the movie. Mr. Travis disappeared a couple of days, when they found him, he was dis-oriented, confuse, had no idea of time and day and no recollection of what happened. He was naked and sick scared of something. His current version of the story didn't match with the original one. His original discription of the ufo didn't match either. So maybe this is marketing strategy for the movie and book.
