There has indeed been a campaign on the part of the Cape based Afrikaner Broederbond to indoctrinate the Boers into thinking that they are also Afrikaners but a number of Boers did not fall for it like the late Robert van Tonder of the Boerestaat Party with increasing numbers of Boers waking up to this in current times.
