julesalbertfab Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - oohh SAy what ya wanna SAY!

KingsXcrossing Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I was there for this and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Great cover.

bRaNdYnew42 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - did anyone that went to this show see the time when vin grabbed the wrong guitar or something i think twice? jesse was just laughing, it was pretty hilarious. i dont remember what song it was though... anyone see it?

salemram1 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - mewithoutyou doesnt even compare to brand new on any level. if brand new went mainstream theyd blow all these corny radio pop bands out.

Gwojcik Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - yeaaa i was there... osme kid fell on his head and was taken off on a stretcher right before this song.. it was nuts

mikeyslivingbrain Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I'm glad Jesse is doing his part to hip the kids to nmh.

acratertocoffin Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - So apparently being on a major label and songs like Quiet Things isn't mainstream?

vr6vdub1 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - brand new isnt mainstream despite maybe 1 or 2 of their songs that made it on mtv2 for a day. falloutboy, MCR and radio bands like that are mainstream. brandnew is amazing and any of their true fans will agree.

acratertocoffin Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - You shouldn't make stupid assumptions like that. I was at this show and Jesse freaked out at the crowd for calling out songs like Quiet Things and Jude Law. Brand New is mainstream whether they or you like it, although they are ridiculously reclusive and trying they're damndest to undo the damage done by Quiet Things.

vr6vdub1 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - its not an assumption. mainstream means radio, tv, posters n shit like that. u kind of agreed with me but then u didnt. i dont think u know what ur talking about

acratertocoffin Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I agreed with you that Brand New doesn't want to be mainstream. But for the millions of fans that they have, they are. Your assumption was that people would agree with you they are are not mainstream, so way to change your statement from before. And for God's sake the word is "your". It's very hard to be credible in a an argument when you can't spell. And don't say you don't have time to spell right because if you didn't then you wouldn't be on youtube arguing with me to begin with.

salemram1 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i agree with vr6vdub, and way to go bud, pointing out his/her computer slang that everyone on the net uses when they type. brand new isnt mainstream. period. type a different topic in the search box and argue with someone else.

pjmike84 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I agree with you on the spelling, first of all. But to support the first argument, having millions of fans and one song that was put on the radio doesn't make a band mainstream. They may be further from the original underground indie/alternative scene in which they started, but I disagree that they're mainstream. As for the fans, they're just faithful. They (myself included) waited around for 4 years after "Deja Entendu" for a new album, and I say it was well worth the wait!

stupidtyonparade Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - it was during you wont know. it was out of tune the first time, and then the second guitar was tuned half step down so he threw it. all in all this was the sloppiest ive ever seen brand new play especially seeing the night before in toronto was the best i ever saw them

stupidtyonparade Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - that comment is directed toward the guy talking about vin switching guitars

bRaNdYnew42 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - you really thought it was sloppy? are you talking about stage coordination or their playing? i thought their playing was really good, not just because i really like them. i really thought they did well

stupidtyonparade Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - nah man, if youve seen them when they're on, you can tell the difference instantly. there were a few fuck ups now and hten, the show as a while ago, all i can think of is, wrong pedals hit fucked up the beginning of not the sun, fucked up the part where the full band came in for maradona, thrice guitarist came in early at the end of luca, the you wont know bit, it just was sloppy compared to their usual spot on shows

RobotTickleFight Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - they can't be compared because mewithoutYou plays real music.

feversxmirrors Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - this is the greatest, ever. i love neutral, and i love jesse. mega, mega props.

chellycheekzz Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i was there, and i didn't notice at the time because i was at the very front but people really should have shut the hell up!

euph0ria Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i love brand new, i just dont like the way he sings, or should i say screamsss the "know who your enemeies are" part. cant compare to neutral milk hotel

subtlyspontaneous Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Why does he wreck one of the best lines in the song by screaming it?I love the original far too much to even consider appreciating this version at all. This video just made me annoyed. But oh well. Works for some I guess.

mjl8485 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Interpretation, man! Interpretation! I think the scream, from Jesse's point of view, comes out of fear, the exact opposite of what NMH's original feels like: hope. Given the context of the song, I think it works both ways.Agreed though, that line is the best in the song, and potentially in all of the "Aeroplane Over The Sea" record.

Rynor Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - the guy talking is a cunt.
