Nov 14, 2008 - CHI VINSE ALLA FINE?
VassKing Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - It happened in 2000. Mika managed to overtake Michael in this very though situation 4 laps before the finish, it was a fantastic race. Hakkinen was my childhood hero, I will never forget his victories and this overtake. Also respect for Michael, he was a respectful driver too. For me, Hakkinen was the best, but Michael, Coulthard, Frentzen, Alesi, Villeneuve (and also many other drivers) were also great, those years were very memorable. Of course, 2008 was also fine!;)

Nov 14, 2008 - thats how driving an f1 car should be. brake and then caress the car through the corner slowly applying throttle until you hit the apex and then ease the throttle on until you can hold it flat... not like today. brake, apex, flat! its ridiculous these days... these guys had to actually drive the car...
leokkonen Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - muy bueno el video el mejor de todos sin dudas mika hakinen

Nov 17, 2008 - They didn't have traction control this year, you know.
trevorwinton Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - of course they didnt. it was 2000. they dont have it this year either and you still dont see them driving like this...
dukesayswoof Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - This was why I used to live F1.. I recall jumping around the room watching this overtaking move live at 1am!
spyxter Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I disagree. I found 2008 season quite thrilling and entertaining.
trevorwinton Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - i didnt say the season wasnt interesting. i clearly said that the cars were boring... they are getting far too easy to drive. take some aero away and than things will improve...
spyxter Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Nothing personal, but f1 cars are far from easy too drive. 700+ horsepower, 605 KGs, grooved tires and no TC. How easy does it look like?
mavrick790 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I think this was when they were still using V12's, now their using V8's. They considerably took away some HP, so if they floored it back then, your sliding and loosing control.
dalebshelton Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - They were both V10. The last V12 in F1 was in 1995 Ferrari and it was Thirsty. The last 3.5 in 1994 had about 980HP. I am guessing that these 3.0 were riht around 900Hp but the last 3.0 Honda was right at 975hp or so. Its all relative as Tech goes up and HP goes up they will come up with a way to slow them down. If we were under 1994 regulation with F1 cars would have close to 1400hp. And that is just too dangerous. I think they are pushing close to 800HP now with the 2.6 liter V8
dalebshelton Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Mika would have been world Champ that year if Mclaren would have just gave him a car that didn't break down in the last 3 races, Engine wise, i don't think either one was more powerful than the other, Can't remember tire choise myself but I did watch this race live, it came down to the fact that Hakk had less downforce that was why he was nowhere close in corners all the way around the track. Remember Hakk Spun while leading or all this may not have happened. But good point
ridoxsupra Says:
Nov 24, 2008 - have you ever driven one? If you had any significant racing experience, or common sense, you'd know that the reason it looks easy is because, the drivers are very experienced and talented. If you tried to drive an F1, you wouldn't even get it down the pits, and that's before you're 30+ seconds off the pace, or smashed into the barriers.
spyxter Says:
Nov 25, 2008 - I presume you weren't replying to me :)
