A 10MB connection is 10 times faster when downloading data, apps, videos, music. With a 10MB connection you can download a 5MB mp3 in a couple seconds. With a 1MB connection it would take minutes maybe 5-10 min if the 1MB connection is poor.

Nov 12, 2008 - I like how you all complain about how you're going to quit paying these fat ISPs until they go your way. Gas went up to $4 a gallon, and yet..I didn't see a difference in traffic flow. Still driving..still paying.. Same is going to happen with the Internet (Soon to be The Grid). Lets just hope we have a rebirth of another Internet. Rinse and repeat.
