Jul 26, 2008 - Did you just call me an assface? LOL, okay, you must be 14 so I think your credibility is shot to shit already.Considering I'm a senior licensed Ford Technician, it gives me some merit in saying I know what I'm talking about.

Jul 26, 2008 - im 21

Jul 27, 2008 - Oh. you're a FORD technician....I think you've lost your merit.

StopDropandLOL Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - Hardy har har!

Jul 27, 2008 - Atleast you ford guys got a sense of humor. Hey, can I call you assface too? =)

StopDropandLOL Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - You gotta have a sense of humour to see what we see on a daily basis, haha.

Righty736 Says:

Jul 28, 2008 - The 3.8 wasn't even that bad aside from the head gaskit problem. Had good low end torque for a car v6

Righty736 Says:

Jul 28, 2008 - you are talking about fords 3.8 right?

krankiev Says:

Jul 28, 2008 - would have run if the whole intake wasn't all busted up.

Jul 30, 2008 - Which Class did you take? ASSET, FACT, or MLR? I am Currently taking MLR.

deora2dude Says:

Jul 31, 2008 - made a cool little sound the first attempt...

StopDropandLOL Says:

Jul 31, 2008 - digitalrailroader: I did the ASSET program for all 4 years of my apprenticeship down in Calgary. SAIT is the only school here in Alberta that has that program. I heard the ASSET program in the states is only 2 years?

digitalrailroader Says:

Jul 31, 2008 - Yep, and MLR is even Shorter! 9 Months Tops!

Aug 5, 2008 - "rest in pieces" Good one Dave!

krankiev Says:

Aug 15, 2008 - Yeah but the 3.0 kicked it's ass. 3.0 ford is a rock solid engine- almost indestructible. I personally know one that knocked for 6 months and didn't blow.. put a new oil pump in it and the knock went away. The 3.8s had a bunch of problems, although more engine is more fun. 3.0 was way more reliable. greatest little v6 ever in my opinion.

Righty736 Says:

Aug 15, 2008 - I agree with you on the 3.0. My taurus has the 3.0 and it's a stout little engine. I drove mine 6000 miles one summer with a thermostat that didn't open. Severely overheated it every day and it still runs great.

krankiev Says:

Aug 15, 2008 - Wow. That surprised me haha seriously.. why didn't you just replace the thermostat? could have destroyed a perfectly good engine. probably cooked the oil in it bad...

Righty736 Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - Didn't actually know it was overheating. The temp gauge was saying it was normal. It didn't even phase me that after 15 minutes of driving the car had a major loss in power and started knocking. The thermostat was the last thing I would have thought of checking - I always thought they were designed to fail shut.

Righty736 Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - Fail OPEN, not shut. Typed it wrong

krankiev Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - They do get at a weird angle and stop from moving though. And if the temperature gauge was messed up, I can see why you didn't figure it out right away. lol i drove a rotted out taurus wagon with a 3.0 today. it had been sitting for a few months. cycled the fuel pump and it fired right up. Turned over like 5 times and lit right up.

yoursooowrong Says:

Aug 24, 2008 - my granny has a v6 tempo. 400 thousand and still kicks. haha. slow ass car though hahahaha

sddragon28 Says:

Sep 4, 2008 - thats what my taurus has and it went a year and a hlaf on bad oil and there was no problems with it

krankiev Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - maybe you could have left the key on so the fuel pump could run then maybe it would start hm?
