Windows XP on PS3

Nov 29, 2008 - yes, a custom firmware (which, btw, isn't a hack... it's just custom) would be exactly what's needed to get around (PART) of the hurdle... it would grant you access to video card... there are still the issues though that the current versions of Linux for PS3 aren't designed to take advantage of the RSX (since they can't use it natively) and CERTAINLY no copies of windows are yet able to take advantage of the Cell cores nor the graphics card. (this might not be a problem considering it's nvidia)
