Nov 18, 2007 - When such methods lead to the search for essense, they're so valuable! Too many teachers insist on continuing to attach yoga to culture. Ancient culture is no different from modern culture, in that it is the trappings, not the essense.

Nov 28, 2007 - Is it safe to practice Kundalini without a teacher? I've heard you can get into a trouble by trying to wing it through Kundalini or Vipassana

Aetherus7 Says:

Dec 5, 2007 - foolish statement to make. there can be some dangers but thats what teachers are for, then again, I am not quite "normal" so maybe you are right, if you value being "normal," that is...

Aetherus7 Says:

Dec 5, 2007 - I have never seen any Sikh people gaurding any Army base, but I did, because I was a soldier. There are Soldiers to do that job, not yoga masters.

marsin7 Says:

Feb 4, 2008 - If anyone tells you that he can raise the Kundalini in hours or months just ignore. This takes years and you gotta prepare your body and mind to contain the energy it produce through Yoga and Pranayama (Breathing excercise). these are to be done systamatically regularly. Also you must find a good teacher (Guru) to accomplish this.

haptotrope Says:

Apr 3, 2008 - I think this is the key. Yoga in India is not something you get a DVD on, it is a "go to your guru" learning... teachers and their intent is the key. It keeps you on path, and honest to the intent. If you only wish physical or aerobic benefit -- a DVD/ Western teacher is fine... but you miss the message and spirit of it. And that's ok. But don't mix the two up! Spiritual journeys are not to be undertaken lightly.

Apr 8, 2008 - iN A WAY YOU'RE RIGHT, and what is funny is that every teacher wants to offer you THE BEST and THe ONLY way, lol, we just choose what is good for us, cause we all are different

Jun 11, 2008 - yoga isn't for the close minded or the arrogant. Its for those who seek the absolute truth, not those who believe everything that they are told.

Jun 26, 2008 - This is amazing stuff. I got a copy of the full video on Amazon. If you can't afford the twelve bucks, buy a used copy or find someone who has a copy of it and borrow it til you know the moves.... most of which are done w/ the eyes closed.

GenXFuturist101 Says:

Oct 9, 2008 - I first experienced the Kundalini rising at the age of 18. In FACT it feels precisely like 2 snakes swiming up your spine & as they pass through each of your neural plexi (chakras), each of those ganglia explode in pleasant sensation to the rhythm of your heartbeat. Once the "snakes" have reached the crown, the effect is so powerful that your 7 centers will litterally throb in ecstacy for at LEAST 1 or 2 hours. You will never be merely human again.

mrbabu3 Says:

Nov 1, 2008 - Since last one year some vibrations started coming up in my body, as mentioned Kundalini rising. It is amazing. Now only from this site, I understand something better about it. I was not knowing at all before what was happening to me, if anyone wants further about my experience, most welcome. It is the gift from the GOD to me.
