He raised a ton of money, ran a ton of ads, and got a ton of free media attention to get his message out there. Republican voters heard it and rejected it, as they did for Giuliani, Romney, and Huckabee, too. That's the process. Funny how you don't see the supporters of Rudy, Romney, or the Huck whining about it en masse.
