Aug 29, 2008 - hey xynixie - maybe it is YOU that needs to do some more research. There's 2 bil barrels of oil off the coast of California already. They even have the rigs in place but cannot drill for it. ANWR in Prudhoe Bay, AK, has approx. 10.4 billion barrels of oil. We have it and have the technology to get to it safely but cannot touch the stuff. Guess we should just wait and watch China and Russia drill off our coast (as they will off the coast of Cuba and Cuba is 90 miles from the tip of the FL Keys).

Aug 29, 2008 - Obama promotes himself as the agent of change and good judgement but, sadly has proven to possess neither. Contrary to the spin Barack did not vote against the war. He did however vote against change and for things to remain the same when he voted against the surge. He also supported moveon's portrayal of General Petraeus as General Betrayus. Many have been mislead by fools gold... beware, all that glimmers is not gold. McCain would not be my first choice but, Obama would be my last.
