Digitamomon Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - What new digimon are available in dawn/dusk???

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Most specifically, Sunmon and Moonmon's evolution trees, amongst others. You'll find out once the eglish version is released, I won't say much.

Zantor33 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - This game makes the original like a frikin' toddler game !!!!!! Looke at the enemies, it makes the 7 Demon Lords look like fresh level digimion>\.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - The 7 Demon Lords were barely a challenge to begin with. The 'last' boss in the game, EXO-Grimmon, is about on par with Belphemon in terms of everything, yet unlike Belphemon, gives about 24000EXP.

Zantor33 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Thats true you get a load of exp every battle compared to 300 in DW ds 1

lpBlackSnow Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Well I know what I'm getting in September. And they better have DORUmon.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Dorumon is in the game, so don't worry about it.

bbs557 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - that's crazy....look at the experience you gain....I am still struggling to raise my monsters level in DWDS1.....slowly.....painfully....

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - I suggest not bothering.DWDS1 is not worth it, no point raising a powerful army since there's no one for you to fight with.

bbs557 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - too bad that i will have to wait until DS2 is out, so i guess i will stick with DS1 first. One little question: in DS2 do you still need matching to get all the coolest monsters?

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Yes, but Matching is made much easier as compared to DWDS1.Reason 1: Matching is not buggy. DWDS2's online Matching stability far surpasses DWDS1.Reason 2: Random matching - You don't need Friend Codes, and anyone online then and there would be matched with you automatically.Additional Bonus: WiFi Battle.

digitalsavioural Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - I noticed It also doesn't take like 4 hours to scan each digimon like it did in DWDS1

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Scanning Digimon takes less than 1/2 the time, moving from one Digimon to the other at more than twice the speed and almost instantly displays the scan percentage value, amongst other time saving features. The farm report system is also faster, without any announcements made and coming right after the first beep. To top it off, the farm report system is completely deactivated if you have no Digimon in the farm.

digitalsavioural Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - OooOooh. Nice. Smoother gameplay will be a blessing. I don't like you're quote about how the encounter rate has increased though. Sometime RPG set-ups like this with random encounters can be a pain, when it takes you 10 minutes to move across a single area because of encounter problems. I'm still ecstatic about this game's release. I was afraid for the longest time I'd have to buy it in Japanese (though I plan to buy Rosetta Stone and begin learning it, still...)

digitalsavioural Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Replying to my own comment. :P I just wanted to note the major increase in moves that hit multiple times. Just thought that was interesting...

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Complete the Gaia Origin Challenge Quest (aka defeat Gallantmon CM).Armageddemon appears only in the final map of the Magnetic Quarry, the map where you fought PrinceMamemon in one of the side quests. A noteable landmark that map has is the return teleporter.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - The increase in those move types is to prepare players for the coming of Digimon online battles. How well a Digimon is raised is determined by how much a player has Jogressed into other Digimon family trees, pick up different moves and make proper team setups.

digitalsavioural Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Hmm. You saying this gives me a thought. How is the map for this game devised? Is it like DWDS1, where you just take teleporters to each area? Or more like one big sprawling map, where you need to walk to each area. (I prefer the one large map type, over the Area Level way that DWDS1 was done) For easy comparison, think DWDS1 to the original Digimon World.

TheSwordUser Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Geee....cool fights but..isn't that boring when you have digimon stats covered in all nines..?too bad they can't raise limits in that game (like 5 digit numbers for HP/MP and 4 digit numebers for minior stats)...that would make training way longer (which means people will play it way longer if they want maxed stats.....and the game will last WAY longer).

sakier555 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - So now you have to Jogress Exveemon and Stingmon to get Paildramon right?

ssbmaster2007 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - It's US release date is September 18th.I'm torn between whether to get Dawn or Dusk, I'd really like to know what Digimon are exclusive to each of the versions, does anyone know?Btw this game looks like a blast, nice video. I find it very important that the battle system is well done, lots more animation than in Pokémon games, which is great.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Correct. If you Jogress the other way round (Stingmon first), you will get Dinobeemon instead.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Battling online is what drives people to drive their stats to all 9s.Its for total, complete balance. Once stats get out of the way, it depends on how you devise your Digimon positions, moveset, equipment and one hidden factor that will decide whether you win or not.As a hint: Only hardworking Tamers have a greater chance of winning.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - The map system remains similar to DWDS1, but slightly modified. You select the area you want to go to in an overworld map.

randomdrifter Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Check out the With the Will forums. MugenSeiRyuu has posted a list of exclusives which I believe to be more correct as compared to the list running around GameFAQs as of now.The battle system has been improved dramatically as compared to the previous game, making DWDS1 look like crap in comparison. This change was certainly one that is in a correct direction, and with a bit more polish, can easily match Pokemon in terms of strategy.
