Feb 25, 2008 - Very good. Tks.

melnorm Says:

Mar 10, 2008 - I don't understand why people get so surprised by the theory that protons and neutrons are made of quarks... I don't want to make a spoiler but I can say quarks are also made of some sub-quarks, which are made of sub-sub-quarks, are made of sub-sub-sub-quarks... which goes forever... This will make us discover the myth of "infinity". I think it's more important to find out what really "infinity" is and how it is related to our universe.

raahr Says:

Mar 27, 2008 - infinity is beyond what we know. It hasn't changed since eight grade math. Your imagination may be able to be stretched to infinity and beyond but the problem with making a statement in physics, is that we want to know. It has to be proven. Perhaps what children think, such as there is no such this as going no end is true. But as a physicist you have to describe it give in a name and it must go in a text book. when everyone knows it it has usefulness.

SPRMSSVBLCKFOTSEN Says:

Apr 23, 2008 - according to theory the event horizon of a black hole stores the maximum amount of information per unit of space time on a 2d surface, so far they see this as the top hat on proceedings

Cosmodot256 Says:

Jun 6, 2008 - I don't think anybody really 'gets' quantum mechanics.

leethaksor Says:

Jul 22, 2008 - Even Feynman said: "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics"

Lihinel Says:

Sep 23, 2008 - or to put it in other words, the unvierse is a fractal made of seeds with a finitly large volume/lenght/howeveryouwanttocallit. It doesn't have an infinite resolution.

melnorm Says:

Sep 24, 2008 - I don't agree such an idea like "the greatest possible number in the universe is "953984957+e99999" or "the smallest number is 0.00000...0001".

Lihinel Says:

Sep 24, 2008 - I am not talking about math here. Of course there is no such thing as a smallest or greates number. Please don't confuse this stuff.

Lihinel Says:

Sep 24, 2008 - I am not talking with some kind of absolute certainty here, but if we can't get it right with fractal geometry and string theorie, I would like to see the answer that comes after them, they must be incomprehensibly beautiful and simple.
