benjyboba Says:

Jul 2, 2008 - Ive never rode a 750ss but i own a 600ss and a 900ss. Nice fun ride, how does the power compair from the 600ss and the 900ss. I know my 900ss is ridiculasly faster accelerating than my 600.

Leebylee Says:

Jul 2, 2008 - With the remapped ECU and aftermarket exhaust it is only 8 hp down on the stock 900 so you can gauge it from that. More than enough power for public roads but you always want more, he he!

benjyboba Says:

Jul 2, 2008 - What about the torque, my 600ss i believe is 53 hp at rear wheel and my 900 is around 80 but i believe its the torque through the revs that make the real difference on these models. There all fast enough on the road, well my 600ss isnt quite at times but the 900 can run with almost anything on the twisties

Aug 9, 2008 - im looking at buying one,any suggestions? on year etc? what to watch out for.. thanks

Leebylee Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - Hi Mike, Good choice, anything after 1999 no problems. The most important thing is a regular service history, you know, preventative maintenance. If I had a choice again I'd go for the 800SS that replaced the 750. Same bike but one more gear and a bit extra power.

smydie Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - thanks for the reply and advice,im in the price bracket of a 1992 -95 model though, ive seen some good ones down nsw,50,000km 95 model or 92 model $5800 88,000, sellers always seem to just say, yeah its had oil changes etc no one seems to say they have gone the distance to do it right, same old if it goes dont spend anything on it, the last thing i want with a bike is for it to shit itself within the first few weeks or months. mike

Leebylee Says:

Aug 11, 2008 - Yeah, that's right. The extra benefit that comes with proper maintenance is confidence. To paraphrase the ad: "Minor service $350, confidence on the road, priceless".It may be out of your price range but have you had a look at mine on Bikepoint?

smydie Says:

Aug 12, 2008 - is it the 2000 model?, im looking at a 2001 cbr600f4i , its one or the other, i know the ducati cant be compared but at the moment its bang for buck, too many overpriced ducs around here, i need to wait for that one owner looked after baby, got a test ride lined up on a 750ss to see if i likle it.

Oct 20, 2008 - anche io ho questa moto, risponde bene sul misto ed è molto divertente da guidare... un motore ottimo che nn da problemi, il rumore poderoso è tipico del bicilindrico desmo della ducati... sconsigliabile la versione 600
