Jul 6, 2007 - She's the most consistent japanese skater since 2000. Her jumps are so amazing and smooth. She's not like other japanese female skaters, that only perform good once, she's always good, she's always winnin' medals for japan but she's been so underrated, you can see the passion for the sport in her face. It's ironic that she's always there to see how other japanese girls take the gold, when she's as good or better than those girls.

Jul 13, 2008 - she really is so underappreciated. I will miss when she leaves amateur ranks or has she now?

Sep 7, 2008 - Yes with Shizuka it is either boom or bust. 8th at Worlds, gold at Worlds, 9th at Worlds, gold at Olympics, up and down like a yo yo. Same with Miki Ando. Fumie is the only Japanese other then Asada who is consistent and delivered time and time again.
