Dec 20, 2008 - No, some people can be inspired by others. It's been happening for the last 50 years or more. Others are just blatant ripoffs. People emulate what is the trend at the moment. Take a look at Marvel and DC comics. Would you say Fantastic Four ripped off Justice League? Well, in the 60's, superhero teams were the trend, and that's what people follow. A trend. Today, it could be the angry nerd, tomorrow, it could be emulating a gamer dressed in a robe who has epileptic seizures. Weird? Yes.

Dec 21, 2008 - I agree, not many reviewers are unique, if anything, I think Yahtzee is the most unique and he only uses pics for his reviews. I'm not a fan of IG but I give him credit for trying to be a somebody. I'm also planning on reviewing games myself, I'm pessimistic about it, but it's in works.

Dec 22, 2008 - I understand your point and many times i have said to myself "if your going to copy something at least copy something cool". In all honesty it really just pains me to watch this guy cause he has such awkward bad delivery when he tries to be humorous. I also wished he had been more original. I suppose i could just not watch it. I don't listen to the nostalgia critic but i have no problem with him, he more so made it his own.

Dec 22, 2008 - I agree with this video. The thing is it wouldn't be a big deal if he was a ripoff. But there's mountains of evidence that he isn't. And evidence that AVGN is.What bothers me about that is that it makes AVGN a hypocrite. He said he doesn't think it's cool if people rip him off and profit, yet he himself profits from ripping people off. Armake21truth's videos prove he does.

Dec 22, 2008 - Everyone will always find a way to make money off of something. It what makes the world what it is. These days, it's hardly a matter of creating entertainment for others to enjoy. It's "what is going to sell?"The angry persona seems to pay off for these fellas. Eventually, like all fads, this will start to fade away. And something else will be popular. Imagine a 400 pound gamer who every time he gets pissed about a game, shovels chocolate bars into his mouth.

Dec 23, 2008 - I haven't singled him out. At least in the sense that I know he's not the only hypocrite. I guess my will to attack him comes from a major disappointment. I loved his work and still do. I was a big fan, but finding out what I did recently was overwhelming.

Dec 31, 2008 - Another thing I hate are those people flaming other random reviwers for being familiar to the nerd. GameDude for example. He even says he is inspired by the nerd, but people keep hating him just because he's a nerd wannabe. The nerd does not have any copyrights to making negative reviews, so everyone should be allowed to do the same style. AVGN is till awesome.
