May 27, 2007 - in ur opinion wich ones beta?
Velktron Says:
Jul 8, 2007 - "Very stable, controlled flight skills." =crashing them twice in the first minute? Uh...OK, right...
mmac78 Says:
Jul 9, 2007 - Neither, steer clear. Only 2 channel and not worth the money to be honest. You can now get 4 channel one's that are FULLY controllable now, which gives forward, back, left and right movement rather than buying this two channel waste of money and weighting the front down.
trebbor58 Says:
Jul 11, 2007 - and where do you get the 4 channel versions, and how much?
SteebunRoba Says:
Jul 12, 2007 - OK, you do have a point. That was the copilot, still in training. She was flying the yellow one in the first two minutes of the video. In the rest of the movie, only the main pilot (me) is flying both of them, and you should notice a high level of control.
cobydick3 Says:
Jul 15, 2007 - i just bought one for 17 pounds. link me to a 4 channel and decent price
mmac78 Says:
Jul 15, 2007 - It won't allow me to link on comments page, do a search in Google... for "micro rc helicopter 4 channel" one of the first to show up should be a mini Apache. As for controlling the Picooz... dream on, it's wherever the thing wants to go...not where YOU want it to go!Rubbish piece of kit!4 channel is where its at... fully controllable forward and reverse :)
1robert1hill1 Says:
Jul 15, 2007 - The 4 channel apache costs £100... Picooz is just 2 channel but its only for a bit of fun and only £25!
SteebunRoba Says:
Jul 26, 2007 - You must not have watched the video. In it, you see that the helicopters are not just going wherever they want. True, they're only 2 channel, up-down/left-right, but they usually have a little forward motion. Want more speed, then put a little weight on the nose. So there's no reverse, but for the money, these things can't be beat. And when you crash, you don't have to fork out more cash for parts for repairs. They just bounce back and keep flying, as the yellow one does twice in the 1st minute

Jul 30, 2007 - No control - I just watched YouTube "Nice PicooZ COntrolling" where someone viedos themselves walking round their house room to room. No control? Rubbish and for £18!! I paid £30 for a pair.

sonicfan7 Says:
Aug 6, 2007 - what do i have to do with the aluminium labels?
SteebunRoba Says:
Aug 7, 2007 - You don't have to do anything with them actually. If you like, you can put them on the front nose somewhere for increased speed, one for a little, two for even more. I just used matching color tape instead, for the same effect.
SteebunRoba Says:
Aug 22, 2007 - Someone asked, "Have you been using the same battery straight for more than 6 minutes?"
SteebunRoba Says:
Aug 22, 2007 - When new, the battery does last for more than six minutes. For this video, I filmed a total of over 30 min. of video, put it all in iMovie '06 and edited it down to about 7 min. After several months of use, however, the battery life has gone down to about 3 minutes, probably because I didn't wait until it had cooled down before recharging. Now I know better. You should also wait to use it until the battery cools down after recharging as well. In both cases, at least 15 minutes is recommended.
splint333 Says:
Nov 30, 2007 - They are for weighing the front end for more forward motion.
